摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oxide superconductor Josephson junction element which is formed of a needle-shaped oxide superconductor oriented in a or b axis direction and an oxide superconductor oriented in c-axis direction on the specified position of a substrate and is applicable to practical circuits. SOLUTION: An element is formed of an oxide superconductor 3 oriented in c-axis direction against a substrate 1 and a needle-shaped oxide superconductor 4 oriented in a or b axis direction, and the both sides of the superconductor 4 are interposed with the super conductors 3, and then the crystal grain boundary between the superconductors 3 and 4 is formed of a weak connection part of the Josephson junction. In this case, the c-axis of the superconductor 4 is in a (100) direction of the substrate 1, and the superconductor 3 or in the growth (110) direction which is 45 degrees inclined with respect to the (010) direction.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce cost by forming a supeconductive layer of a high temperature oxide supeconductor. CONSTITUTION:The Josephson junction element is formed of a high temperature oxide superconductor and a barrier layer is formed of a ferroelectric doped with a specific element by 0.991-5wt.%. In the Josephson junction element 10, an YBa2Cu3O7-x film 2 is laminated, as a high temperature oxide superconductor, on an SrTiO3 (100) single crystal substrate 1 and patterned in planar dumbbell shape. A groove 2a of length lambda is made at the bridge part thereof while extending to the substrate 1. An Nb doped ferroelectric oxide SrTiO3 film 3 is formed in planar dumbbell shape on the bridge part of the YBa2Cu3O7-x film 2 while intersecting the film 2 perpendicularly and filling the groove 2a. This constitution realizes a Josephson junction element having enhanced characteristics in which the critical current, normal conductive tunnel resistance, etc., can be controlled.

SOLUTION: The reflection color liquid crystal display device has a reflector having a volume hologram reflection layer 12 or the like and has a liquid crystal layer 105 as a modulation layer held between two substrates at least one of which is transparent. The liquid crystal layer is switched between the ON state and the OFF state. When the device is irradiated with light from a standard light source, the value U defined by formula (1): U=S×R is >=1.2, wherein S is the area of the triangle surrounded by the coordinates of the respective RGB single colors in the XYZ color chart and R (%) is the luminous reflectance. The color reflector which can be used for the device is also provided.
