    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever device capable of locking a shift lever, if in a forward mode, a N-position or a R-position, as it remains in the position with an ignition-OFF condition. SOLUTION: The shift lever device comprises a moderation lever 30 having a R-position, a N-position and a forward mode and associated with the shifting movement of a shift lever 20, when in the R-position and the N-position, a lock 40 moved integrally with the moderation lever 30 and having first, second and third engaged portions 41, 42, 43, a stopper 50 having an engagement portion 51 engageable with the first, second and third engaged portions 41, 42, 43 of the lock 40, and a solenoid 60 having a plunger 62 associated in engagament with part of the stopper 50 and moved over between a solenoid push-in position and a solenoid opening position and adapted to be electrified upon ignition-ON for attracting the plunger 62 to the solenoid push-in position.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a tapping noise reducing effect so as to ensure smooth operation of a sleeve and an operating button without increasing the number of part items by constituting at least one of the sleeve and the operating button directly of polyester elastomer. CONSTITUTION:After a shift lever 1 is moved to a desired drive position by moving a shift knob 2, when press-in force in an operating button 5 is released, a sleeve 6 is returned upward by energizing force of a coil spring 7 to return the operating button 5 to the outer original position through engagement of a slope 6a with a through hole corner part 11a. At this reset time, a rear surface 6b of the sleeve 6 collides against a rear surface 11b of a through hole 11 of the operating button 5 to generate a tapping noise. However, the sleeve 6 is constituted of polyester elastomer, so that the tapping noise is substantially reduced as compared with the case of forming the sleeve 6 of the other hard resin. Further, no trouble is generated even in the case of transmitting press-in force by providing rigidity of suitable degree in the polyester elastomer.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of the whole of a mold and enable the miniaturization by enabling the installation of a cover with the engagement of an engaging part possible to deform elastically and a part to be engaged provided in the cover, and eliminating the arrangement of a notch for pulling in an inner packaging material with the pulling of the mold for forming an engaging part to the housing recessed part side. CONSTITUTION:An engaging part 30 engaging with a cover to be formed in a housing recessed part 26 of an inner packaging material 22 has the structure possible to deform elastically at the time of pulling a mold and at the time after the integral formation with an outer packaging material 23, and pulling of the mold to the direction transverse to the opening direction is eliminated by enabling the forced pulling of the mold forming the engaging part 30 to the opening direction of the housing recessed part 26. Consequently, the structure of the whole of the mold is simplified, and while a notch for pulling is eliminated, and the existence of a part which consists of only an outer packaging material layer is avoided. Since the engaging part 32 of the inner packaging material 22 side is formed in the structure possible to deform elastically, the smooth engagement of the engaging part 32 and the part to be engaged 36 with the sufficient intensity is possible by using the elastic deformation of the engaging part 32 without especially providing a claw in the part to be engaged 36 of the cover 28. Thereby, the structure of the mold is simplified and the whole of the mold is miniaturized.
