    • PURPOSE:To provide a fire-resistant, heat-insulating self-adhesive material in flexible sheet form, widely used for, e.g. a fire resistant covering material, a fireproof partition material, a curtain wall backup material, and a smokeproof material; a composite material made from the self-adhesive material; and a fire-resistant, fireproof structure. CONSTITUTION:A fire-resistant, heat-insulating self-adhesive material in flexible sheet form made by adding a polyvalent metal and/or a compound containing alcohol groups to an aqueous silanol salt having a siloxane skeleton to cause gelation to form a sheet. In forming the gel, a water-retentive solidifying agent capable of removing water by absorption is added to enhance the tackiness; a powder which has water of crystallization or forms a refractory material when heated is added and also the sheet is covered with an organic or inorganic cloth to improve the heat resistance and the sheet strength. Further, the self-adhesive material may be covered with a plastic film to impart heat retaining properties and releasability, combined with a fire-resistant, heat-insulating blanket, paper, a plate, a metal foil, an inorganic plate, etc., to form a composite plate, and embossed to impart extensibility so that vibration- damping and soundproofing functions are imparted by using the embossed sheet as the core material. Also, the self-adhesive material or the composite material is applied to a structure to give a fire-resistant, fireproof, heat-insulating structure.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a flexible heat-resistant non-combustible composite material by using an aqueous film forming inorg. compound having specific components alone or using the same as a compositional material in combination with various natural or synthetic mineral products. CONSTITUTION:Various natural or synthetic mineral powders, fibers or laminar compounds such as mineral powders, kaolin, pozzolan, silica fume, bauxite, pyrophyllite, metal oxides, metal hydroxides, cement or the like are mixed with an aqueous film forming inorg. compound represented by formula and the resulting mixture is used as a surface coating material or an adhesive material. In this case, even when this material is exposed to a high temp. burner, heat conduction is obstructed by the removal of the water of crystallization without damaging an inorg. film and, further, said material becomes a heat- resistant film to prevent the inflow of radiant heat. In addition, this material has fire-resistant bonding strength, generates no release and has a characteristic flexible in normal state in spite of an inorg. composition. Therefore, a fire- resistant/fireproof composite material of every kind can be prepared.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a safe container which neither melts nor burns down even when heat generating material in the container is hydrated and gives off much heat to produce high temperature, by placing the heat generating material on a barrier laid on the inner bottom of the container or wrapping the heat generating material with water-absorbing paper or paper which dissolves after absorbing water. CONSTITUTION:A container 3 composed of material such as polypropylene has hydrated heat generating material 5 whose heat source is hydrated quick line, and a barrier 6 which is placed between the container 3 and the hydrated heat generating material 5, and which is composed of the following material: heat-resistant material such as metal foil, heat-resistant paper, ceramic paper, a glass sheet (wool cloth), and synthetic resin film; material becoming heat-resistant after absorbing water or melting such as hygroscopic paper, unwoven cloth, textile, water-absorbing paper, and wood; starch paper which dissolves after absorbing water; and material which becomes heat-resistant after absorbing water such as PVA paper and water-absorbing resin paper. The polypropylene container with heat-resistant at 120 deg.C does not melt even when the temperature of the hydrated heat generating material becomes from 120 deg.C at least to 200 deg.C in the extreme case.
