    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To destroy gravel walls formed at the peripheral face of an outer frame and to restore sediment discharge function therewith by a method wherein coarseness at meshes of the outer frame, a coarse grid member composed of horizontal members and vertical members for covering an inner frame, is partially made coarse much more. SOLUTION: Coafseness at meshes of an outer frame 8, a coarse grid member composed of horizontal members 11 and vertical members 12 for covering an inner frame 7 and being put over a slope including weep holes 6 at the upstream side of a dam for preventing inflow of large gravels, is partially made coarse much more. As the coarseness at meshes of the outer frame 8 is being made partially coarse much more, gravel walls formed at the periphery of the outer frame 8 are destroyed at the meshes made much more coarse and the destroyed gravel walls are made to start on flowing out, and the gravel walls at the periphery of the outer frame 8 are gradually destroyed, restoring sediment discharge function. Thereby, the gravel walls formed at the periphery of the outer frame of a double frame structure being formed of the inner frame and the outer frame are destroyed while sediment is being made to flow out from its place of sedimentation to the downstream side of the dam through the double frame and the weep holes, and sediment discharge function is restored.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent movement of an aqueduct after an avalanche of sand and stone is captured by a method wherein the position of a beam between the columns of the central part of a permeation part of which a weir is composed is lowered to a level lower than that of a beam between other columns and by a distance shorter than a distance between the columns 1. CONSTITUTION:The position of a steel pipe beam 2 between steel pipe columns 1 at the central part of a permeation part of which a permeation type weir is composed is lowered to a level lower than that of a beam 2 between other columns 1. The position of the steel pipe beam 2 at a topmost stage between the steel pipes column 1 is gradually raised to a level higher than the position of the beam 2 between the columns 1 at the central part of the permeation part from the central part toward both sides. And the beam 2 is arranged by a distance shorter than a distance between the columns 1 below the beam 2 at a topmost stage between the columns 1. This constitution pushes out a larger quantity of stone gravels, accumulated at the beam 2 at the central part, of relatively smaller stone gravels subsequently accumulated on stone gravels having a maximum size captured by the weir, causes centralization of flowing water to a central part, and ensures an aqueduct.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permeable dam securing openings usually and in case of minor floods to allow sediment to flow out downward with relatively simple structure but closing the openings together with sand and stones in case of the occurrence of a large-scale avalanche of sand and stones to capture the whole quantity of the avalanche of sand and stones.
      SOLUTION: In the permeable dam 1 with vertical round bar members 5 forming openings 6 for allowing the avalanche of sand and stones to pass through, at least one vertical round bar member 5 out of the vertical round bar members 5 forming the openings 6 is provided with a freely movable member (a cylindrical member) 7 housing the vertical round bar member 5.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension protective levee capable of surely damming an avalanche of earth and rocks by properly absorbing impulse energy when it collides with the avalanche of earth and rocks.
      SOLUTION: The suspension protective levee 10 is so constituted that a main rope 11 is laid between upper parts on both sides of a valley section and that a ring net 13 formed in the shape of a net by connecting a large number of ring members 16 to each other is stretched between the main rope 11 and the valley floor 3 of the valley section. Thereby, when load of the avalanche of earth and rocks partially acts on the ring members 16 of the ring net 13 by a collision of the avalanche of earth and rocks, the force is smoothly transferred to the other ring members 16 to disperse it to the whole ring net 13, high buffer action is displayed by a wide deformation area of the ring members 16, and the impulse energy is properly absorbed to surely dam the avalanche of earth and rocks.
