摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescent(EL) element and its manufacturing method to enable a longer service life, high luminance and versatile application. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the EL element includes a process to laminate a first electrode 12 of ITO thin film or the like, an insulating thin film 13 of aluminum oxide or the like, a high dielectric layer 14 and MG metal thin film on an arbitrary solid substrate successively. The ITO thin film is laminated on the solid substrate by vacuum vapor deposition. The aluminum oxide thin film is coated on the ITO thin film by electroplating. In comparison with conventional EL elements, this EL element has a configuration of inverted lamination order of the luminescent layer and the insulating layer so as to afford excellent effects on a longer service life and high luminance. Moreover, if the transparent electrode is laminated on a solid substrate using an electroconductive solution, any solid nonconductive materials can be used as a substrate material to allow versatile applications of the EL element.
