摘要： The present invention relates to an absorbent article for absorbing fluids and exudates, such as urine. More particularly, the present invention relates to absorbent garments which are configured to absorb body exudates while also helping to reduce the relative humidity in the environment of the article, to reduce skin-exudate contact and to reduced undesired skin hydration. The present invention relates to an absorbent article having a front waist section, a rear waist section, and an intermediate section which interconnects said front and rear waist sections. One embodiment of the invention generally includes: a topsheet; a backsheet; an absorbent material containing, at least in part, a superabsorbent; and a second material. One or more regions of the article contains less absorbent material than other regions of the article, and the second material is positioned in at least one of the one or more regions of article which contain less absorbent material.

摘要： There is provided a wiper comprising a first web of fibers of at most 50 microns in diameter wherein said web has been bonded using a point unbonded pattern having a bond area between about 25 and 50 percent. The wiper can be made from thermoplastic polymer nonwoven fibers made by the meltblowing, spunbonding, carding and bonding, or airlaying processes. The wiper may be a laminate of various thermoplastic layers joined with the point unbonded pattern and may be a conform web of thermoplastic polymer and pulp or other material.

摘要： A method of producing a stretch material includes the steps of extruding a thermoplastic film (20); passing the extruded film through a nip of two rolls (30, 35) having first and second roll surfaces, where the first roll surface includes a raised closed shape pattern and the second roll surface is a flat anvil surface; forming a pattern in the film with the rolls, while chilling the film, such that there are thicker and thinner areas in the film, corresponding to the pattern on the first roll surface; and passing the patterned film under tension, by a heated air stream (45), whereby the polymer in the thinner patterned areas is removed, thereby creating a netting material. A bidirectional stretch laminate is produced by bonding a necked nonwoven material (75) to the netting material while the netting material is being stretched (under tension).

The layered basesheet includes at least two layers which include different fibers and have different physical properties. 摘要： Disclosed herein is a surgical stockinette (10) for covering and encasing a body extremity such as an arm or leg to isolate and protect the extremity during surgery. The stockinette has a generally tubular-shape and is made from a composite material defining a length (12) and a width (14) with the length being longer than the width. The stockinette defines an interior surface (16) and an exterior surface (18) with the tubular-shaped structure defining an open end (20) and a closed end (22) separated by the length. The interior and exterior surfaces are joined circumferentially to one another along substantially the entire length of the tubular-shaped structure. The interior surface is formed from a fibrous material and the overall structure is liquid impervious and circumferentially expandable from a first circumference to a second and larger circumference. Due to the materials and nature of construction, the stockinette of the present invention provides a form-fitting design which is easy to done and remove.
