    • PURPOSE: A method for disposing radioactive metal waste using melting decontamination is provided to rapidly determine the disposal possibility of an ingot by calculating the radioactivity of the ingot using a gamma spectroscopy. CONSTITUTION: Metal waste contaminated by radioactivity is classified according to a classification standard and is melt(S10). A slag is removed by injecting an impurity remover(S21,S22). An ingot is made by pouring melt without the slag in a mold(S30). A radioactive value of the ingot is produced(S40). It is determined whether the ingot whose radioactivity is completely measured satisfies a standard(S50).
