摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic method and device for discriminating water level in pipe by which the level of infiltrated water accumulating in a gas pipe to be inspected can be discriminated without piercing the pipe by using an ultrasonic wave. SOLUTION: In the ultrasonic method, the reflected wave of the ultrasonic wave is continuously detected by sliding an ultrasonic sensor which receives and outputs the reflected wave on the side wall of the gas pipe to be inspected while the ultrasonic wave is oscillated, and the presence/absence of water in the pipe is discriminated based on the level of the reflected wave by means of a discriminator connected to the sensor. Then a change in the discrimination of the presence/absence of water is displayed on an external display device and, at the same time, the detected position when the change is displayed is discriminated as the water level in the gas pipe.

CONSTITUTION: A circular plate 51 rotates at a rate in response to gas flow rate, pulses for one rotation of the circulate plate 51 are generated by a waveform-shaping circuit 57, and a pulse with a cycle corresponding to the flow rate is generated by a waveform-shaping circuit 59. A flow-rate compensation device measures the time of one rotation of the circular plate 51 by an operation frequency cycle measurement part 61 and calculates a compensation coefficient corresponding to the time by a compensation coefficient calculation part 63. Also, the cycle of the pulse outputted from the waveform-shaping circuit 59 is measured by a pulse cycle measurement part 64 and the compensated flow rate is calculated based on the pulse cycle measured by the pulse cycle measurement part 64 and a compensation coefficient.

Then, a flow-rate operation part 64 calculates a compensated flow rate based on the average pulse cycle by referring to a table 65 for expressing the relationship between the average pulse cycle and the compensated flow rate.

Then, a light-weight rotational load is applied to the hinge shaft 11, thus resulting in preventing the measurement membrane 7 from rotating abruptly in reverse and hence preventing or significantly suppressing the occurrence of abnormal sounds.
