摘要： PURPOSE:To adjust the humidity of stored coal, etc. and keep the quality of said coal, etc. constant by installing a roof which is movable along a longitudinal direction between a pair of structures which form the side walls of a storage area, and moving said roof in accordance with weather. CONSTITUTION:Coal C is unloaded from a transport ship 30 and, after being carried into the storing area A of a stock yard 1 by means of unloaders 32 and conveyors 33, 34 stored in pipes by means of stacker reclaimers 35 and a reclaimer 36. When it is raining or in a season when the direct rays of the sun are hard, a roof 9 is moved in the longitudinal direction of fences 3 by means of a driving device to adjust the humidity of the coal C in a defined storage area B which is to be transferred into a group of silos 38 next. On the other hand, when the coal C is overly dried, water is sprinkled on the coal C by means of sprinklers 37 to adjust its humidity adequately. In sensors of good weather, the roof 9 covering the defined storage area B is removed to hasten the drying of the coal C by the aid of open air.
