    • PURPOSE:To enable the selection of the optimum drill, metallic rod, etc., in accordance with blast furnace condition by evaluating tapping information till the previous iron tapping of a tapping hole in the blast furnace in each evaluating section and deciding the opening hole vol. in the tapping hole based on the tapping condition at the previous time obtd. by this evaluation. CONSTITUTION:The tapping holes in the blast furnace are opened in order by using the drill and the metallic rod in a hole opening machine. At this time, the tapping information till the previous tapping of the tapping hole in this blast furnace is divided into eight items composed of a tapping velocity pattern, initial stage slag balance, max. remaining slag quantity in the tapping, slag balance at the time of completing the tapping, necessary time of starting slagging, slag stopping caused by clogging of the hole (two or more times) and tapping velocity after three times, etc., made to form the pattern in each item and made to form the table for evaluating sections. Successively, the previous iron tapping condition is applied to the evaluating sections in the above table. Based on the condition grasped by this information, by considering this information in each item, the diameters of the drill and the metallic rod fitted to the hole opening machine matched to the blast furnace condition are selected.

    • PURPOSE:To adequately control hole openability by driving of a steel rod at the time of executing preopening of a mud material by determining the time since the mud material is packed into a tap hole a before a mud gun is removed to the specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The mud material 5 is press fitted and packed by means of the mud gun 6 into the tap hole 2 penetrating the wall 1 of a blast furnace. The mud gun 6 is removed in the stage when firing of the mud material 5 progresses to some extent. The steel rod is driven into the mud material 5 and while the steel rod is held penetrated therein, the steel rod is held before the next tapping is started. The pressing time by the mud gun 6 of this time since the mud material 5 is packed into the tap hole 2 before the mud gun 6 is removed is determined according to a relation between the predetermined pressuring pressure on the mud material 5/the extruded amt. of the mud material and the pressing time by the mud gun 6. As a result, the excess and deficiency of the firing according to a change in the amt. of pressurization on the packed mud material 5 are estimated by the press fitting condition of the mud material 5. The firing of the mud material is thus kept constant.

CONSTITUTION:In inner part of molten iron tapping opening 2 arranged at side wall in the blast furnace body 1, the molten iron tapping hole 3 shown with the dotted line is arranged, and the mud material 5 is packed into the inner part of molten iron tapping hole 3 and to position from neighborhood of tip part to the furnace bottom 6.
