    • PURPOSE:To obtain the deodorizing method and device which form a deodorant mixture composed of earthworm excreta earth and granular active carbon and can remove even the malodorous components which are relatively hardly removable by passing gases before deodorization through this deodorant mixture. CONSTITUTION:While the gases contg. the bad odors via a suction pipe 4 pass vent holes 8a of a perforated plate 8, the gases pass among grains 10 and the inside of the layer of the deodorant 12, the malodorous components are removed by the earthworm excreta earth and the granular active carbon. The gases are then discharged from the upper part of a box body 2 to the outside. The earthworm excreta earth tends to solidify on long-term use but since the deodorant 12 is formed by mixing the earthworm excreta earth and the granular active carbon, the deodorant hardly solidifies. The air permeability is thus assured and the deodorizing effect is continued. Then, even the malodorous components which are relatively hardly removed by the earthworm excreta earth are adsorbed and removed to and by the granular active carbon. The gases contg. the various combined components are thus effectively deodorized and the high deodorizing capacity to various smells is exhibited.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the deodorizing device which is small in floor area by vertically stacking deodorizing units having deodorants essentially consisting of earthworm excreta earth in plural stages and distributing gases before deodorization to the deodorizing units, thereby deodorizing the gases. CONSTITUTION:The deodorants 13, 23, 33, 43 essentially consisting of the earthworm excreta earth are the earthworm excreta earth alone or the earthworm excreta earth incorporated with foamed pearlite, zeolite, granular active carbon, etc., in order to improve air permeability. The gases contg. malodorous components are supplied via a suction pipe 62 by a fan 61 into the deodorizing device and are distributed and supplied to suction spaces 11, 21, 31, 41 of the deodorizing units 10, 20, 30, 40 of lower 4 stages by a distributing pipe 63. The gases are passed through the respective deodorants 13, 23, 33, 43, by which the gases are deodorized. The gases are then gathered by a gathering pipe 64 and are supplied to the suction space 51 of the deodorizing unit 50 of the uppermost stage and are further completely deodorized by the active carbon 53. The gases are thereafter discharged from a discharge port 55 to the outside. The deodorizing device which is compact as a whole is thus obtd.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a reduction of a membrane permeated water quantity with time due to an adhesion.deposition of a high polymer, etc., to a membrane module by subjecting a mixed soln. containing a slurry product formed in an aeration tank to an ozone treatment, then obtaining a treated water by subjecting this mixed soln. to a solid liq. separation with a membrane separating device. SOLUTION: When a raw waste water containing an org. material is supplied to an aeration tank 12 from a regulating tank 11, the org. material in the waste water is decomposed oxidatively with an aerobic bacteria working actively by aeration to an air sent from an air diffuser 14 and an activated sludge is formed. In this case, an ozone treating device 22 is connected to the aeration tank 12 with a piping, and after subjecting the mixed soln. (activated sludge) 15 containing the slurry product formed in the aeration tank 12 to the ozone treatment, the mixed soln. 15 is subjected to the solid-liq. separation with the membrane separating device 16. That is, a fibrous material inflowing from the raw waste water and preventing the membrane separation is decomposed and conveted into low molecule by the ozone treatment, and also sugars are reduced to reduce a viscosity of the mixed soln. 15 and the reduction of the membrane permeated water quantity with time is suppressed.
