    • PURPOSE:To uniformalize the raw material deposition state in the circumferential direction within a blast furnace by providing the plural positions in the circumferential direction of the furnace top part with raw material raking up means and pushing out the deposited raw materials on the furnace wall side toward the center of the furnace. CONSTITUTION:The raw material raking up means 21, 22 are disposed in the respective plural positions in the circumferential direction of the furnace top part in the blast furnace 1. The deposited raw materials on the furnace wall side are pushed out toward the center of the furnace 1 by controlling the push out of the respective raw material raking up means 21, 22 to rake up the flat parts of the raw materials formed in the furnace wall parts, by which the raw material deposition state in the circumferential direction and particularly the raw material deposition state in the furnace wall parts are uniformalized. As a result, the specified air permeability in the furnace 1 is assured and the normality of the furnace condition is maintained without generating abnormality in the gas flow direction in the furnace 1.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively execute desulfurization in the molten iron at low cost by adding desulfurizing agent into the exposed molten iron passing through a molten iron trough at downstream side of a skimmer, rapidly causing to flow down into a reaction vessel, stirring and reacting the accompanied desulfurizing agent and the floating molten desulfurizing agent. CONSTITUTION:The molten iron 2 tapped from a blast furnace is introduced into the skimmer 6 and slag 4 floated with a skimmer damper 8 is separated into a slag trough 10. The molten iron 2 passing through the lower end of the damper 8 is guided to the molten metal trough 14 narrowly contracting flowing passage width W2 arranged on a weir, and the desulfurizing agent is added with a desulfurizing agent adding by device 20 and rapidly caused to flow down along an inclined wall 16 and dipped into bottom part of molten metal pool in the reaction vessel 18 and the accompanied desulfurizing agent and the floating molten desulfurizing agent 22A are stirred and reacted. Then, the inclined angle of the inclined wall 16 is made to 45 to 85 deg., and the width W2 of the molten iron trough 14 is made to 5 to 50% of the width W1 in the reaction vessel 8. By this method, without necessitating to use a wide space, the desulfurization of the molten iron 2 is effectively executed at a low cost.

    • PURPOSE:To promote reaction of molten iron and flux and to execute pre-refining of desiliconization, dephosphorization, desulfurization, etc., to the molten iron with good efficiency by injecting the flux for pre-refining into the molten iron while the molten iron tapped from a blast furnace is caused to flow in a molten iron treating vessel having a specific construction through a molten iron trough. CONSTITUTION:Molten blast furnace slag is removed with a skimmer while passing the molten iron 12 tapped from the blast furnace through the molten iron through 11. The molten iron free from the molten slag is caused to flow down in an inclined guide trough 3 and on the way of this, the flux 6 for pre-refining of desiliconizing agent, dephsophorizing agent, desulfurizing agent, etc., is forcedly injected into the molten iron stream 4 flowing down in the guide trough 3 with an adding device 5 by blasting to execute the pre-refining of desiliconization, dephosphorization, desulfurization, etc., to the molten iron in the reaction vessel 1. In this case, by specifying the relation between the construction of the reaction vessel for pre-refining of the molten iron and the flow-down molten iron quantity to the relation shown with the inequality I, the pre-refining of the molten iron is efficiently executed.

    • PURPOSE:To detect the stowage conditions at the cross section of a raw material bed accurately by disposing two sheets of side plates larger than the cross section of the raw material bed beforehand in the raw material bed in such a way that these plates intersect orthogonally with the stowage direction of ores. CONSTITUTION:Many kinds of ores 1 are transferred to a blending yard by a belt conveyor line 2, and are stowed uniformly in a raw material bed 5 by a boom conveyor 4 of a self-traveling type bed stacker 3, whereby they are blended. An ore-containing frame body 10 is beforehand erected in this bed 5 by means of auxiliary fittings 16 in such a way that two sheets of its side plates 11 intersect orthogonally with the stowage direction of the ore. After the end of the stowing, the body 10 is removed from the bed 5, and one of the side plates 11 is removed to expose substantially the same stowage stage as that of the cross section of the bed 5. It is possible to approach the raw materials to a uniformly mixed state through improvement of stowing methods or the like by detecting the stowage conditions at the cross section of the bed 5 in this way.

    • PURPOSE:To control the distributions of the gas flow in a blast furnace and stabilize furnace conditions by operating the blast furnace in such a manner that the temp. differences of the gas in the furnace detected with the temp. detecting means provided in the upper and lower two stages in the upper part of the heat retaining zone of the furnace are within a correct range. CONSTITUTION:Temp. detecting means such as, for example, sondes, are provided by being divided into two stages, upper and lower, in the upper part of the heat retaining zone of a blast furnace, by which the infurnace temps., particularly the elevating infurnace temps. are measured. In this case, the respective sondes are usually directed from the outside of the blast furnace into its radial direction, and the infurnace gas temps. particularly within the range of about 1/6 the inside diameter of the blast furnace from the wall of the blast furnace are detected. The infurnace gas temp. are then measured with the upper end lower sondes, and the blast furnace is operated by adjusting, for example, the charging conditions from the furnace top and the blast conditions from tuyeres to maintain these temperature differences so as to reduce the component fluctuations in the molten iron. As a result, the heat flow ratio in the blast furnace is evaluated with good accuracy and the stable operation is maintained.
