摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the arc stability of the flux cored wire by confining the amt. of the oil sticking to the inside surface side of the flux cored wire to a specific value or below. CONSTITUTION:The amt. L of the oil sticking to the inside surface side of the flux wired wire 1 is confined to inside surface of the wire 1. The generation of spatters with explosion by the abrupt expansion of the oil at the tip of the wire 1 when the amt. exceeds 10g per 1m is prevented in this way and the regular growth and detachment of a droplet 4 and the stabilization of the length and width of an arc 2 are assured. The welding workability is thus improved. There is no limitation on the diameter of the wire 1 and the application from a large diameter of 3.2mumphi to an extremely fine diameter of 0.8mumphi is possible.

After that, the flux ring 46 having almost ring-shape is passed through the consumable nozzle 24 from upper part and fitted with the fastening metal 40. This flux ring 46 is the one, which is produced by mixing the binder material with the flux material and hardening them after being formed as almost ring-shape having the inner diameter (d) larger than the outer diameter of nozzle 24 in order to fit to the nozzle 24. Therefore, only by fitting the flux ring 46 to the consumable nozzle 24, the coating onto the consumable nozzle 24 is made to unnecessary.

摘要： PURPOSE:To greatly reduce the amt. of spatters by forming the flux cored wire for gas shielding in such a manner that the area of the metal components in the flux at the cross section thereof satisfies a specific range with respect to the area in the internal flux part. CONSTITUTION:The area M of the metallic components is specified to the range of equation I with respect to the area S of the flux part. Any of known wires and fluxes are applicable as the wire and flux to be used. While the metallic components to be incorporated into the flux are not particularly limited, Fe, Fe-Si, Fe-Mn, Mg, Al, etc., are preferably selectively used according to applications. The findings that an extremely stable arc is obtd. and that the amt. of spatters decreases drastically are obtd. if the projecting length of the unmolten flux is within a prescribed range. Elucidation is made that the amt. of the metallic components in the flux is merely necessitated to be limited for the above-mentioned purposes. The arc is effectively stabilized by using CO2 as a shielding gas in this way and the amt. of spatters is greatly reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To form the steel product for fillet arc welding having excellent pore resistance by providing a specific plating layer essentially consisting of Ni, etc., in the part corresponding to the joint surface of the steel product to be joined to the mating steel product at the time of fillet arc welding. The paste plating liquid 3 consists essentially of one or >=2 kinds of Ni, Cu and Cr at this time. The steel product 1 as cathode and the counter electrode 2 as anode are then energized via wirings 10 by a power source means 9 to apply >=0.1mu plating layer on the surface of the steel product 1. A primer 11 having >=7mu thickness is provided on this plating layer and this steel product is joined to the other steel product 1 by fillet arc welding. Generation of blowholes and pits in a weld zone 12 is prevented in this way.
