    • PURPOSE:To keep off any damage at the time of driving a heavy corrosionproof part by covering a steel sheet pile provided with a heavy corrosionproof covered layer at a seawater contact part with a protective cover free of attachment or detachment via a buffer member, and driving the steel sheet pile. CONSTITUTION:A heavy corrosionproof covered layer 2 of polyethylene resin or the like is applied to a seawater contact pat on an outer surface of a steel sheet pile 1, thereby constituting an outer surface covered steel sheet pile 1A. Likewise, the heavy corrosionproof covered layer 2 is applied on an inner surface of the steel sheet pile 1, constituting an inner surface covered steel sheet pile 1B as well. Then, each of protective covers 3, 7 is attached to the heavy corrosionproof covered layer of these outer and inner surface covered steel sheet piles 1A, 1B free of attachment or detachment. Each of these protective covers 3, 7 is made up of a plate material 4 of a steel sheet covering the outer surface or inner surface of the steel sheet pile 1 and a cushioning material 5 of rubber or the like covering this plate material 4. These protective covers 3, 7 are attached by an engaged device tightly attached to the steel sheet pile 1 and bolts and nuts. With this constitution, any damage to a heavy corrosionproof part at the time of driving the steel sheet pile is thus preventable.

    • PURPOSE:To make its form easier to manufacture and combine it with a rectilinearly shaped steel sheet-pile equipped with forked joints so as to construct it at a low cost, by integrally forming each wing piece for engagement on each end of the web of a steel sheet-pile in its longitudinal direction, the cross section of which latter pile is in a U-shape, so as to form them together in a pi-shape. CONSTITUTION:Each wing piece 1d for engagement is installed on each end of the web 1a of the main body of each steel sheet-pile in its longitudinal direction, the pile constituted of its web 1a, its flanges 1b and its joints 1c, and the cross section of which is in a U-shape, so that they are formed together in a pi-shaped steel sheet pile 1. And each pi-shaped steel sheet-pile 1 is placed with the surface of its web 1a facing toward a water area, then each U-shaped steel sheet-pile 2 is placed with the surface of its web 2a facing toward a bank while each of joints 2c and each of the joints 1c are engaged together. After they have successively been placed in sequence likewise, each rectilinearly shaped steel sheet pile 3 provided with each forked joint paired (a) on each end is placed while each wing piece 1d is fittingly inserted into each forked joint 3a.
