摘要： A skid beam for use in a walking beam type heating furnace which has operating temperatures exceeding 1000 .degree.C comprises a hollow skid pipe of heat re,sistant alloy, skid buttons provided upright on the skid pipe and arranged axially thereof at a predetermined spacing, and a refractory lining covering the outer peripheral surface of the skid pipe and each of the s}sid buttons over the base portion thereof toward its upper portion. Each of the skid buttons comprises a first member attached to the skid pipe and made of a heat-resistant alloy, and a second member to be brought into contact with the material to be heated. The second member is made of a composite material composed of a heat-resistant alloy and ceramic particles dispersed therein in an amount of 30 to 70 % by weight based on the, composite material. The skid button has a height exceedlng 120 mm. The lining portion covering the skid button over the base portion thereof toward its upper portion has a thickness so as not to give a temperature difference of greater than 40 .degree.C between the top of the skid button and the interior of the furnace.

After that, the above cover 12 is closed and heating treatment of the material S to be heated is executed and also the inner gas is blown and controlled from a blowing hole 7 at the upper part to maintain the oxygen concn. in the furnace 1 to the aimed value.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a furnace body and to uniformly heat materials to be heated with high thermal efficiency by supporting the materials which are to be heated and are charged and drawn out from a lower part by means of plural inclination preventive bodies in contact with the upper part thereof and lifting said bodies under the guide of lifting guides. CONSTITUTION:Ingots 6 imposed on a lifting table 5 are charged and drawn out through an inlet and outlet 3 in the lower part of the furnace body 1 provided with an induction heating coil 2 and are subjected to a heating treatment. The ingots 6 of the above-mentioned bottom charging type induction heater are supported by the plural inclination preventive bodies 10 in contact with the upper part of the ingots at spaced intervals. Said bodies 10 are guided by the lifting guides 12C provided to the upper part of a gate type supporting frame 12 disposed on the outside of the furnace body 1 and are discretely lifted by the actuation of hydraulic cylinders 11 in the state of maintaining contact with the ingots 6. The spacing between the coil 2 in the body 1 and the ingots 6 is thereby diminished, by which the size of the body 1 is reduced and the ingots 6 is heated uniformly with the high thermal efficiency and power factor.
