    • PURPOSE:To obtain high driving force in a mechanism wherein a piston stroke is made variable with ease by checking fluid pressure at the end of a piston stroke and driving the piston reversely. CONSTITUTION:Main switch valve 8 of the position port 2, switching valve 21 of the same structure and sequence valve 25 are attached on the differential cylinder 1. Under this construction, when the main switch valve 8 is switched to the position B, piston 28 moves to the left, and after hitting the striking member 9 at the point in the vicinity of the extreme left, piston 28 reaches the bottom dead center. At this moment, oil chamber 27 and fluid chamber 2 are connected thru via ring form groove 29, and when the fluid pressure of the main pipe 3 surpasses the set value at the sequence valve 25, it switches to the position B, making the main valve 8 switch to the position A being actuated by the fluid pressure of the pump side at the pilot chamber 22, and the piston 28 moves to the right. Under the above constitution, the piston 28 moves to the right regularly being actuated by the high pressure surpassing the set value at the sequence valve 25 at the bottom dead center, and in addition, position of the rightward movement of the piston 28 is selected by manually operating the switch valve 21 and the desired objective is attained.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the piston to spring up after being hit in a device wherein the body to be hit is hit by the reciprocating piston, so as to save power and energy, by providing a ckeck valve in the passage connecting the pressure rooms on both sides of the piston of the differential cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A pressure room 2 having a smaller pressure receiving surface of a differential cylinder 1 is connected to a pump 6 via fluid passage 4, 5, whereas a pressure room 3 having a larger pressure receiving surface is connected either to a fluid passage 5 connected, in turn, to the pump 6, or to a return passage 10 connected to a tank 10, via a direction switchover valve 8. The direction switchover valve 8 is controlled by the fluid pressure introduced to a pilot chamber 15. Furthermore, in this device, a passage 26 which connects the pressure room 2 to the pressure room 3 is formed in the piston 11 and a check valve 27 allowing the fluid to flow only from the pressure room 3 to the pressure room 3, is arranged in the passage 26. Thus, when the piston strikes the body to be hit, it is allowed to spring up freely, and as a result the pump driving power is saved in the return process.

    • PURPOSE: To make a piston generate demanded great kinematic energy by making high pressure working liquid act on the piston from the beginning of the going stroke thereof in the reciprocating stroke.
      CONSTITUTION: A piston 15 is provided with both the first valve mechanisms 20, 21 and 18 which are communicated with a tank side pipe line 22 with the piston 15 in the proximity of its upper limit position, and the second valve mechanism 16 and 12 which are communicated with a pump side pipe line 3 with the piston 15 in the proximity of the lower limit position. A pilot chamber 24 of a three-port two-position-switching valve 8 is connected via a sequence valve 26 to the first valve mechanism 20, and the upstream end of the sequence valve 26 is connected to the second valve mechanism 16. When the piston 15 comes to the upper limit position, the sequence valve 26 is opened and the pilot chamber 24 is then communicated with a tank to change over the threepoort two-position- switching valve 8, on account of which high pressure working liquid may operate on the piston 15 from the beginning of its going stroke, generating great kinematic energy.

    • PURPOSE:To achieve a fluid actuator suitable for a pile hammer which functions in accordance to the resonance of the pile for the inherent frequency of the soil by providing a relief valve in a two flow paths conducting with the actuator chambers as the bypass circuit. CONSTITUTION:The pressurized oil from a pump 1 will enter through a rotary direction exchange valve 2 and through the paths 17, 18 alternatively into the liquid chambers 13, 14 of a cylinder 8 to move a piston 52 up and down thus to drive a pile 11. When the pile will resonate with the inherent frequency of the soil, the amount of oil to be fed from the pump to one of the liquid chambers 12, 13 will be insufficient while the other liquid chamber will be excessive, but the pressure difference across the check valves 19, 20 is detected by the relief valves 27, 28 to open the relief path to conduct the liquid chambers 13, 14 thus to compensate the amount of oil thereby the up-down motion of the piston 52 will follow well to the frequency increment due to the resonance resulting in the positive driving utilizing the resonance.
