    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system which can accurately measure earth removal volume nearby a cutting edge in shield excavation. SOLUTION: When earth removal loaded on a peak-end open conveyor 12 from the cutting edge and discharged in the shield excavation, facing-down shape measuring instrument 20 is provided above the path 11 of the conveyor 12, and measures the three-dimensional coordinates of the peak edge and loaded earth reception surface of the unloaded conveyor 12 and the three-dimensional coordinates of the peak edge and loaded earth surface of the conveyor 12 having been loaded with the waste earth. The volume of the loaded earth removable is computed, conveyor by conveyor, from the relative three-dimensional coordinates of the loaded earth reception surface and the relative three-dimensional coordinates of the loaded earth surface to the pack edge. Preferably, the weight of the conveyor 12 is measured before and after loading, and the weight of the loaded earth removal of each conveyor 12 is computed from the difference between the weight of the conveyor 12 before the loading and the weight after the loading. More preferably, the specific weight of the loaded earth removal of each conveyor 12 is computed from the volume and weight of the loaded earth removal.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify an illegal parking/stopping managing job by performing communication between a monitoring robot and police headquarters by radio or wire via a relay base provided in the neighborhood of a site. CONSTITUTION:The monitoring robot 1 is the one to patrol the upper side of a place where illegal parking or stopping is observed periodically by using a travel device 4, and the status of the site is displayed with a monitoring camera 6, and a displayed picture is displayed on a monitor television at the police headquarters by radio or wire via the relay base 12. The monitoring robot 1, when confirming the vehicle in parking or stopping, operates an image sensor 7, and recognizes the shape, color, position of a correspondent vehicle 13, and the number of a number plate, etc., and sends information with respect to them to a small computer at the relay base 12 by radio or wire, and they are judged and stored. Furthermore, those information are sent from the relay base 12 to a large computer provided at the police headquarters, and information with respect to time, etc., is added and are stored. In such a way, the illegal parking/stopping managing job can be simplified.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size of a shield machine at the time of installation by forming a cylindrical frame by a double structure and supporting an inner frame in relation to an outer frame so as to slide in the axial direction and shut off water. SOLUTION: A cylindrical frame has a double structure, and an inner frame 5 is supported in relation to an outer frame 4 by a hydraulic jack 6 and a mechanical seal 8 so as to slide in the direction of rotary shaft and shut off water. Moreover, a ringlike seal member 7 is attached to an inner face of the inner frame 5 at two steps. The outer frame 4 and the hydraulic jack 6 are fixed on an inner wall of an earth retaining wall B in a vertical shaft A, and the hydraulic jack 6 is shrunk to store the inner frame 5 in the outer frame 4. A shield machine 1 is assembled in this condition, and the inner frame 5 is extended backward. Since a length of the whole entrance device becomes substantially a half of a conventional device, a diameter of the vertical shaft A can be reduced. Since a wide space can be used, it is possible to reduce the time required for assembly and installation, construction cost, and an area of a site.
