摘要： PURPOSE: To prevent the vertical stress fluctuation of a lead body and secure the pure shearing deformation of the lead body by fixing a plastic deformation section made of the lead body on one side of a structure, arranging an axial guide mechanism section allowing a vertical shift on the other side, and arranging link mechanisms on both sides of the plastic deformation section. CONSTITUTION: When earthquake force is applied, upper and lower structures G, B are relatively displaced in the horizontal direction. A link mechanism section 2A mainly follows the displacement of the upper structure G. The deformation of the lead body 4 of a plastic deformation section 1 is restricted by the displacement of the link mechanism section 2A. The vertical shift of a vertical guide mechanism section 2B is restricted by the deformation of a link mechanism section 2B. The fluctuation of the lead body 4 in the height direction is absorbed by the shift of a piston body 18 caused by the fluctuation of the lower link of the link mechanism section 2A. No excessive tensile resistance is applied to the lead body 4. The axial deformation stress applied to the lead body 4 is mitigated, and the pure shearing plastic deformation can be obtained.

CONSTITUTION:An elasto-plastic damper comprises flanges 2, 2 connected to mutually insulated structural components and a lead damper 3 sandwiched by the flanges 2, 2 with both ends being bonded to the respective flanges 2, 2. The lead damper 3 is divided in plural layers in axial direction. Lead 31 is disposed in the middle, and lead alloy 32, 32 of tensile and shearing strength layer than those of the lead 31 are disposed on both sides toward the flanges 2, 2 in axial direction, both being bonded together. The adhesive strength between the lead 31 and the lead alloy 32 and between the lead alloy 32 and the flange 2 are larger than material strength of the lead alloy, so that tensile breakage and adhesive breakage and prevented without increasing sectional areas of both ends and thus the deformation capability is enhanced.

摘要： PURPOSE: To mitigate the vertical stress fluctuation and secure the pure shearing deformation of a lead body by arranging a plastic deformation section having the lead body on one side of a structure, and arranging a vertical guide mechanism allowing only the vertical shift and a reaction mechanism section exciting against the axial displacement of the vertical shift on the other side. CONSTITUTION: When earthquake force is applied, upper and lower structures G, B are relatively displaced. Shearing deformation force is applied to the whole lead damper D, and a plastic deformation is applied to the lead body 4 of a plastic deformation section 1 by the shearing force. Since an axial shift adjusting mechanism section 2 interlocked with the plastic deformation section 1 allows a vertical shift, the height change quantity by the deformation is absorbed. The plate spring 19 of a reaction mechanism section 2B is deformed and generates retracting force in response to the height quantity. No excessive tensile resistance is applied to the lead body 4, and the pure shearing deformation is applied. A large energy absorbing capability is obtained for the lead body 4 with a fixed cross section, and the lead body 4 can be miniaturized for the same energy absorbing capability.

When earthquake force is applied, upper and lower structures G, B are relatively displaced, then this lead damper D restricts the horizontal shift with the vertical shift mechanism section 2. A horizontal deformation is applied to the lead body 4 of the plastic deformation section 1 having small lateral rigidity, and the earthquake energy is absorbed. The displacement acceleration of the upper structure G is damped, and the relative displacement is suppressed for damping action. A large energy absorbing capability is obtained, the lead body 4 can be miniaturized, the expected energy absorption characteristic is exerted according to the design specification, and the standardization of designing can be attained.

As required, the steel sheet piles are set aslant in the lattice so as to construct the vertical inner wall 2 and the vertical inner wall 2 is connected integrally with the vertical outer wall 1. Thus the movement of underwater and soil in earthquake can be shut off completely and, therefore, the ground which may be liquefied can be reformed into a stable ground.

Because the damper device A is formed so that the vibrational energy of the structure is absorbed by utilizing the kinematic energy of the body of revolution 1 with this constitution, it is possible to get a simple and small size damping device.
