    • PURPOSE: To make a judgement visibly capable of the axial force inducted into an axis of the high-strength bolt, by means of using a dished spring washer for a jointing of the high-strength bolt to deform the shape of the dished spring washer.
      CONSTITUTION: A dished spring washer 1 is shaped likely to lay a plate upside down with a circular hole provided in its center. A use of said washer 1 for the washer of a high-strength bolt 2 provides a gap between said washer 1 and bolt 2 befoer tightening the high-strength bolt 2, and the process of its tightening flatly deforms the shape of said washer 1, thus capable of visibly judging the condition of tightening. In order to operat a visible judgement of the axial force further accurately, a method of inserting an inversion washer of very thin plate, similarly shaped to the dished spring washer 1, into between the dished spring washer 1 and the high-strength bolt 2 may be available.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a device, which can measure even the quantity of defectiveness in a simple, prompt and accurate manner, by providing a detecting element for oscillating ultrasonic beam and a detecting element for receiving the same and by equidistantly moving and scanning the two elements on one side of a mother material in the opposite direction by means of a jig. CONSTITUTION:In case the welded portion C between a column A and a beam B is to be inspected, only the width W of the beam B is measured from the welded portion C and a point O is set at the center point for the flaw detection. First, both a transmitting flaw detecting element 7 for generating ultrasonic beam at a deflection angle of 45 degrees and a receiving flaw detecting element 9 are placed at the side of the beam B thereby to set the sensitivity of the ultrasonic flaw detector and to mark the detection position of a defective echo. A table 1 having a gear 2 and arms 4 and 6 is fixed at the point O of the beam B, and the detecting elements 7 and 9 are placed on a plate having the same thickness as that of the beam B so that they are fixed by fixing shafts 8 and 9. A contact medium such as glycerin is used to equidistantly move the elements 7 and 9 in the opposite direction to that of arrow for the scanning purpose so that the change in the level of the echo is measure. The defective area is presumed in comparison with the test results of the known test piece. Thus it is possible to detect the flow of the whole welded surface accurately and promptly.
