    • The invention relates to a fastening device (10) for detachably fastening an article on a base (14). Said device comprises a suction plate (18) on which a sealing ring (13) for resting on the base (14) is held and an electric vacuum pump (26) which impinges a space (36) between the suction plate (18) and the base (14) that can be sealed by the sealing ring (13) with negative pressure. The aim of the invention is to improve the fastening device (10) in such a manner that it can be operated independent of a line voltage and is easier to use. For this purpose, the suction plate (18) is integrated into a housing (42) which houses the vacuum pump (26), a battery (63) and an electrical switching element (64) for switching the vacuum pump on and off. The invention is furthermore characterized in that a collector for bore cuttings (110) is integrated into the housing of the fastening device (10).

    • The invention relates to a collector for bore cuttings that are produced when a bore hole is drilled in the ground. Said collector comprises a housing having a face that can be oriented towards the ground and a back wall spaced apart therefrom. The face and the back wall have housing openings that are aligned in relation to each other, whereby a drill can extend through these openings. The housing encloses a cleaning device which cleans the drill when it is withdrawn from the housing, and a dirt collection chamber. The aim of the invention is to improve the collector for bore cuttings in such a manner that bore cuttings that are produced when a bore hole is drilled are reliably collected and no bore cuttings can escape when the drill is withdrawn from the housing. For this purpose, the cleaning device is adapted to clean the rotating drill during drilling.

    • The invention relates to a device (20) for spinning liquid out of a wiping body (14), which is held on a wiping head (13) of a surface cleaning device (10). The inventive device comprises a container (22), inside of which a wiping head holding device (80) is mounted in a manner that enables it to rotate. The wiping head, together with the wiping body, can be inserted into said wiping head holding device, and the wiping head holding device can be rotationally driven about a rotation axis (93) by a drive device (66) in ord er to remove moisture from the wiping body. The aim of the invention is to improve the design of the aforementioned device whereby permitting the consumption of energy to be held to a low level. To this end, the invention provides that the device comprises a measuring element for determining a degree of drying or a spinning time of the wiping body. An indicating unit (75, 76, 77) is assigned to said measuring element and serves to indicate wh en a specified degree of drying has been reached or when a specified spinning time has elapsed.
