摘要： PURPOSE: To easily collect the light wave conductor of a bundled coated optical fiber as each element by pulling out the coated optical fiber from a storage case, cutting a hose in the axial direction, and guiding the light wave conductor along a protecting member side opposite to a cutting tool. CONSTITUTION: A bundled coated optical fiber 2 is pulled out from a table 1 by a carrying device 5, and guided by a measuring device 6 which decides the movement of the bundled coated optical fiber 2. At the time of driving without any failure, the bundled coated optical fiber 2 is moved to a cutting device 7 by the carrying device 5, and a hose 3 is cut with a knife 14 in the axial direction. A light wave conductor 4 included in the bundled coated optical fiber 2 passes through a protecting member 13 of the cutting device 7, and the hose 3 is pulled out outside through the protecting member 13. The light wave conductor 4 is pulled out through a cleaning device 11, and wound around a spool 8 in each controlled number of winding. Thus, the light wage conductor 4 of the bundled coated optical fiber 2 can be exposed from the surrounding hose 3, and can be used for reuse.

摘要： PURPOSE: To restrict heating to a weld seam part and to prevent occurrence of defects by forming a split pipe from a metal tape whose ratio of thickness to width, width and thickness are limited and cooling a peripheral surface of a specific ratio at some distance from a weld seam by means of bringing coolant into contact just after seam welding. CONSTITUTION: A tape 2 of, for instance, 25 mm in width and 1.1 mm in thickness is pulled out from a tape spool 1 and washed in a washing tank 3. Then, the edge of the tape 2 is cut with a trimming device 4 and the diameter of a split pipe as width 21 is kept constant. And, the split pipe 6 is formed from the tape 2 with a first forming stage 7 of a forming device 5 and given a desired curvature at the following forming stage. Then, a pipe welded with a welding equipment 9 is induced to a water tank 11 just after the welding equipment 9, and, at least 60% of the peripheral surface is cooled with coolant separated from a weld seam. After cooling, a pipe 10 is drawn through a towing ring 12 to reduce the outer diameter of pipe 10.

摘要： PURPOSE: To easily weld the fibers of an optical waveguide to the fibers of another optical waveguide on an end face side without loosening a bundle by inserting clamping tables fixed with the fibers projected form the band-like conduits together with the fibers and the band-like conduit into a welding device and welding the same to the fibers of another optical waveguide on the end face side. CONSTITUTION: The fibers 3 are exposed by removing carriers 5, 6 and protective layer 4 at the end of the band-like conduit 1. While the grid-like arrangement of the fibers 3 is thereafter maintained, the fibers are fixed between the two clamping tables 7, 10 parted via an intermediate area in the extended state. In succession, the fibers 3 are cut by forming scores at the common plane by a laterally movable knife 13 in the longitudinal direction between the both clamping tables 7, 10. The clamping table 7 internally fixed with the fibers 3 projected from the band-like conduit is thereafter inserted together with the fibers 3 and the band-like conduit 1 into the welding device 17. The fibers 3 are welded to the fibers 3 of the optical waveguide exposed similarly from the protective layer and separately guided into the welding device on the end face side. As a result, the fibers of the optical waveguides of the two band-like conduits treated by the same method are easily welded without loosening the bundling.

摘要： PURPOSE: To enable continuous finish in a laminated wire rod by coating a wire rod with an aluminum band and forming a solid metallic bond between the wire rod and the coated part without feeding heat to the wire rod and the aluminum layer. CONSTITUTION: An aluminum band 2 is rounded with an elongated material as the center to form into a slit tube substantially having a significantly larger inside diameter than the outside diameter of the elongated material, and welding for a longitudinal seam of this slit tube is executed in such a manner that an atmosphere of protective gas or reducing gas is maintained in an annular gap between the elongated material and the aluminum tube 5. Then, the diameter of the aluminum tube 5 is reduced by at least 20%, and it is then drawn down so as to be abutted on the elongated material. Finally, the cross section of the coated elongated material is reduced by at least 10%. Thus, a laminated wire rod almost of a limitless length can be produced.
