    • This invention relates to a method of developing electrostatic latent images which comprises the steps of;mixing a developer including toners having a mean particle size of 3 to 20 .mu.m and resin-coated carriers with a large number of pores having a pore size distribution of 0.001 to 3 .mu.m and a mean pore size of 0.1 to 0.5 .mu.m on a surface thereof;applying said developer onto a developing sleeve made of nonmagnetic material and arranged oppositely to an electrostatic latent image-retaining member with a minute gap therebetween;forming a magnetic brush of the developer by the magnetic force of a magnet member having plural poles in the circumferential direction thereof, said magnet member fixedly arranged within the developing sleeve;conveying the developer by a rotation of the developing sleeve to a developing zone where the electrostatic latent image-retaining member is arranged oppositely to the developing sleeve; anddeveloping electrostatic latent images by the toners which are held on the developing sleeve.
