    • Waterproofing of a watchcase is achieved by a sealing ring disposed between the periphery of the watch glass and a bezel portion of the case and confined between the glass holder ring on which the watch glass rests and an inturned lip portion of the bezel which retains the watch glass. By being disposed between the periphery of the watch glass and the bezel, the sealing ring is concealed from view by the inturned lip portion of the bezel and a more attractive watch is thereby achieved. A second sealing ring is provided between the bezel portion of the case and the case back to provide a seal therebetween.

    • An electromagnetic relay including an electromagnet block having a rod-shaped iron core, a coil wound around the rod-shaped iron core, and a spool interposed between the coil and iron core. A yoke having one end section extends to a section at a side of a magnet pole section of the iron core. An end section of the yoke is arranged so that the magnet pole section has a gap on a base side. A moving iron is pivotably supported by an elastic support of a hinge spring. The electromagnet block is magnetized wherein a section drawn in the moving iron is drawn to the magnet pole section and pivoted to drive a contact switching unit. The hinge spring includes an elastic contacting portion extending toward an opposite side to the elastic support. The moving iron is integrated with a card member that comes in contact with the elastic contacting portion.

    • An electromagnetic relay includes an electromagnet block having coils wound about the bodies of spools through which iron cores are provided. The electromagnet block is accommodated in a concave part that opens upward of a box-shaped case such that the shaft centers of the iron cores can be orthogonal to the bottom surface of the box-shaped case. The electromagnet block is excited and demagnetized by the passage and break of electric current through the coils so that a contact mechanism can be driven by a movable iron piece that is absorbed to and leaves magnetic pole portions at the upper ends of the iron cores. In this case, the electromagnet block is hung at the upper opening edge of the box-shaped case such that a space can be provided between the bottom surface of the box-shaped case and the electromagnet block.
