摘要： Disclosed is a method for efficiently reporting measurement information required for handover in active-state terminals executing a power-saving operation in a packet-based communication system. The method includes the steps of: (a) receiving a discontinuous reception (DRX) period, a discontinuous transmission (DTX) period, and a measurement information report parameter that are decided by a base station; and (b) measuring channel quality according to a measurement information report period included in the measurement information report parameter, and reporting measurement information formed based on the measurement information report parameter by using radio resources allocated by the base station.

摘要： Provided is a method for indicating a mobile station maintaining radio resource control (RRC) connection but not maintaining uplink physical layer synchronization to receive downlink signals when packet data to be transmitted to the mobile station are generated to thereby make the mobile station start uplink signal transmission. The method includes: (a) allocating a random access preamble index and generating a downlink signal reception indication message including the allocated random access preamble index in a base station; (b) transmitting the generated downlink signal reception indication message to the mobile station; (c) forming a response message to random access, when a preamble signal designated by the random access preamble index is transmitted from the mobile station in response to the downlink signal reception indication message; and (d) transmitting the response message to random access to the mobile station to thereby control uplink physical layer synchronization.

摘要： Provided is a method for transmitting and receiving multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) data in a packet based cellular system. The method for transmitting multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) to a plurality of mobile stations in a packet based cellular system, includes the steps of: a) transmitting scheduling information of transmission data, b) hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) information, and a service group identifier (ID) for MBMS to the mobile stations through a MBMS dedicated control channel; b) transmitting information about a dedicated feedback channel of a mobile station and unique scrambling codes different by cells and mobile stations to the mobile stations; c) transmitting a MBMS data packet to the mobile station; d) transmitting radio resource information of data retransmitted using a downlink control signal to the mobile stations if negative acknowledgment (NACK) is received from at least one of the mobile stations; and e) transmitting the retransmitted data to the mobile stations.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method of transmitting paging information and a paging method in a mobile communication system. According to the invention, in a case of starting to transmit downlink information to mobile stations that do not maintain uplink synchronization while performing a low-power-consumption operation in an active state, the start of the information transmission is informed by transmitting a medium access control (MAC) paging message to the mobile stations. In this case, the invention can inform the mobile station that the MAC paging message exists in a physical layer control channel or can transmit the generated MAC paging message through only the physical layer control channel. Accordingly, the invention can efficiently transmit the paging information while maximizing utilization of a limited radio resource.

In the present invention, one among preamble resources is allocated to specific mobile stations in advance, before random access. The mobile stations request random access by transmitting a preamble based on the pre-allocated preamble resource to a base station. 摘要： Provided is an error correcting method that can provide improved error correction efficiency in a multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) by marking the presence of an error in a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) with an error instead of discarding the erroneous PDU in an MBMS terminal of the MBMS system, which performs error correction in an application layer, and transmitting the erroneous PDU together with a PDU without an error to the application layer, and an error correction apparatus employing the method. The MBMS terminal includes: a radio link control (RLC) protocol processor configured to receive PDUs generated from the reception data, generate service data units (SDUs) by combining the PDUs, mark whether there is an SDU recovered from a PDU with an error, and output the SDUs; and a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) processing means configured to receive and deliver the SDUs.
