    • Disclosed is an indoor unit of an air conditioner, in which at least one air inlet is formed at part of or entire bottom surface the indoor unit and an evaporator is installed between the air inlets and a blowing fan so that indoor air sucked in through air inlets passes through the evaporator and is discharged from an outlet vent formed at the front surface of the indoor unit by the operation of a blowing fan. The indoor unit of the air conditioner includes air inlets, an evaporator, a blowing fan, and an outlet vent, wherein the air inlets are formed in an opposite direction of the outlet vent for discharging cooled air; the air inlets are formed on the bottom surface of the indoor unit; indoor air flown into the indoor unit passes through the evaporator and the blowing fan and is discharge from the outlet vent; and air path from the air inlets en route to the outlet vent via the evaporator and the blowing fan is not overlapped.

In particular, since the highest voltage of the reset period during other subfields is lower than the highest voltage of the reset period of a subfield implementing a low gray scale, with inducing the half discharge before the set up discharge in other subfields, the set up discharge can be generated with a low voltage to improve the contrast due to the luminous output reduction.

    • The present invention relates to a plasma display panel and, more particularly, to an apparatus and a method of driving a plasma display panel. According to the present invention, an apparatus for driving a plasma display panel includes a line buffer unit synchronizing data inputted from outside with a horizontal synchronization signal to store per horizontal line, at least one comparison unit comparing loads included in horizontal lines stored in the line buffer unit, and a data converting unit correcting the data to be supplied to the horizontal lines using a load difference resulting from a comparison by the at least one comparison unit. According to the present invention, a method of driving a plasma display panel includes the steps of detecting loads included in externally inputted data to be supplied to at least two adjacent horizontal lines and correcting the data to be supplied to each of the at least two adjacent horizontal lines according to a load difference between the at least two adjacent horizontal lines. Accordingly, the loads included in the previous and current lines are computed to correct the data to be supplied to the lines according to the load difference between the respective lines, respectively. Therefore, the present invention enables to correct the brightness difference between the horizontal lines and to prevent power dispersion of the heavily-loaded horizontal line.

    • The present invention relates to a plasma display panel, and more particularly, to a method of driving a plasma display panel. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method of driving a plasma display panel in which one frame comprises a plurality of sub-fields and which represent a gray level by making the sub-fields emitting light according to brightness weights allocated to the sub-fields, includes a step of implementing a specific gray level using a previous or next luminous pattern of the specific gray level in representing the specific gray level where none of the sub-fields of a one-step lower gray level are luminous. The method of driving a plasma display panel according to the present invention enables to prevent electric discharge failure and to stably display images on the PDP of high-density Xe.
