    • A system for electric energy management inspects admittances or impedances at several positions on the same power line, and determines the presence of electricity theft based on them. Particularly, each of the admittances or impedances is calculated based on information on an amount of electricity measured by each watt-hour meter. Since information on amounts of electricity respectively measured at an upper place and several lower places on the same power line have a certain correspondence relation, the calculated admittances or impedances also have a relation. For example, the admittance or impedance at the upper place is necessarily corresponds to the equivalent value of the admittances or impedance at the lower places. Thus, it is possible to precisely determine the presence of electricity theft by monitoring whether or not the difference value is within an acceptable range in consideration of an error of measuring the amount of electricity, or the like.

    • The present disclosure enables comparison of an energy consuming propensity of each energy consumer with that of other energy consumers. To this end, energy usage information of each energy consumer and comparison conditions (size of house, the number of families, energy consuming regions) are collected, and energy consuming propensities of other energy consumers are compared with energy consuming propensity of each energy consumer similar in terms of living environment, and the comparison is shown. A variety of statistical information for comparison is provided through an IHD (In-Home Display) installed at each house, whereby the energy consumers can easily and conveniently evaluate his own energy consuming propensity. An objective evaluation of his or her position related to energy consumption of other energy consumers promotes more active energy conservation and more rational energy consumption by being stimulated by the energy consumption of other energy consumers.

The repeater receives information on an amount of energy consumption of the individual user from the meter, and receives information on an energy pricing system from the central management server. Then, the repeater analyzes and manages the energy consumption rate of the individual user using the received information, and transmits information on the energy consumption rate to the meter or the central management server. The repeater may also analyze various information such as information on an energy consumption propensity of the individual user. The repeater immediately transmits essential information but transmits incidental information only when there is a request of the meter or the central management server. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce communication traffic between the central management server and the plurality of meters.

    • According to the present disclosure, an energy meter installed at each energy consumer receives in advance a new firmware from a remote server, and updates its own firmware at a future time. The energy meter may receive update time information designating a future time when downloading the firmware, or may execute the update in response to update execution instruction from the remote server once the firmware is downloaded. The firmware update may be executed for each module unit. Communication traffic can be dispersed because the download is given to each energy meter in advance before a time firmware or firmware module update is to be executed. A large load is prevented from being loaded to the remote server at once. It is easy to manage or control a plurality of energy meters because the update can be executed in a lump.
