    • The present invention discloses a method of video coding conversion, which includes: decoding a video frame of the first coding mode into an image of standard intermediate format while determining whether the video frame is a reference frame or prediction frame and recording the recognition result; coding the image of standard intermediate format into a video frame of the second coding mode. The present invention also discloses a video coding conversion device using the method. By using the method and device for video coding conversion in accordance with the present invention, it can be implemented to recode the images based on the types of the video frames of the original coding mode during video coding conversion so as to avoid image errors caused by recoding large numbers of prediction frames of the original coding mode into reference frames of the new coding mode, therefore the video image quality after recoding is greatly improved.

    • A sensing circuit includes a plurality of sensors, a controller, a multiway switch, a linear optocoupler, and a logical control unit. The plurality of sensors are capable of measuring physical quantity, and each of the plurality of sensors is capable of generating a sensing signal in accordance with the physical quantity. The controller is capable of receiving and analyzing the sensing signals, and transforming the sensing signals into sensing events. The multiway switch is capable of selectively connecting one of the plurality of sensors to the controller. The linear optocoupler is connected between the plurality of sensors and the controller. The logical control unit is capable of controlling the multiway switch to selectively connect one of the plurality of sensors to the optocoupler, and generating a control signal to the controller, wherein the control signal indicating the one of the plurality of sensors connected to the controller.

    • A lighting apparatus includes a rectifier circuit configured to be coupled to an AC source and to produce a rectified voltage from an AC voltage and a string including at least two serially-connected LED segments and coupled to the rectifier circuit. A segment control circuit is configured to selectively bypass at least one segment of the string responsive to the rectified voltage. An energy storage circuit is coupled to the rectifier circuit and controls current flow between at least one energy storage device and the string. A control circuit controls the segment control circuit and the energy storage circuit. The segment control circuit may support a current from the rectifier circuit through all of the segments in the string circuit at a peak of the rectified voltage and the energy storage circuit may charge the at least one energy storage device to a voltage near the peak of the rectified voltage.
