    • A control unit is configured to carry out a given controlling of an electric motor when a given operation is carried. The given operation is an operation wherein under operation of a closure mechanism, the door is moved in a close direction passing through an operative position of a half-latch switch and then moved back in an open direction at a position just before the half-latch position. The given controlling is so made that when the moving member takes a position other than a neutral position upon completion of the given operation, the electric motor is rotated in a reversed direction to move the moving member to the neutral position, and when the moving member takes the neutral position upon completion of the given operation, the electric motor is stopped to keep the moving member at the neutral position.

    • An automatic door operating system for a motor vehicle is shown. The system comprises a door closing device which includes an electric motor and a latch plate actuator. The system further includes a control device which, when a latch plate position detecting switch detects a half-latch condition of a latch plate of a door lock device, energizes the motor to run in one direction to turn the latch plate toward a full-latch position and which, when the latch plate position detecting switch detects a full-latch condition of the latch plate, energizes the motor to run in the other direction to turn the latch plate toward a releasing position and which, when a return recognition switch detects the latch plate actuator having returned to its rest position, stops the rotation of the motor in the other direction. The control device includes a control timer which energizes the motor to run in the other direction for a predetermined time from the time on which the control device is energized.

    • A welding observation apparatus is provided to use partial darkening by a telecentric optical system and a photochromic filter (PCF) as an optical system for filtering light emission from arc discharge in order to verify the welding condition under the welding arc discharge, without forming an image on the PCF, so that light reducing performance can be secured even if a focus shifts from on the PCF, with satisfactory monitoring of welding condition.The welding observation apparatus comprises: an arc welding unit 8; an objective optical system (1, 2) for concentrating light from the arc welding unit 8; a telecentric optical system 3 for guiding the light concentrated by the objective optical system (1, 2); a PCF 4 for illuminating with the light guided by the telecentric optical system 3; and a solid state imaging device 9 for receiving the light passing through the PCF 4, wherein the light from the arc welding unit 8 is partial-darkened by the PCF 4.
