    • A shared multi-user IP telephone device for receiving, based on SIP, calls transmitted over VoIP network, a system using such a device and method thereof. The shared multi-user IP telephone device includes a storage device for storing user profiles, an ID extraction portion for receiving from the VoIP network a SIP packet including at least the callee's ID, and extracting the ID contained in the SIP packet, and a personalized feature presentation portion for searching in the storage device for the user profile corresponding to the ID according to the extracted ID for presenting the corresponding personalized feature according to the search result. Thus it is possible for everyone using such a phone to receive directly the call for him/herself without anyone else or other device forwarding the call.

    • A method for determining travel time of a vehicle on a road, wherein the vehicle is operable within a mobile communication network, comprising: collecting historical communication events of a mobile user in order to obtain travel samples, wherein the historical communication events indicate when the mobile user travelled along a monitored road; determining a cell handover sequence from the historical communication events; determining from the cell handover sequence, one of more road segments of the monitored road; determining the travel time of the one or more road segments according to the travel time samples; selecting, for an undetermined road segment of the monitored road for which the real-time travel time is not determined from the collected historical communication events, a candidate mobile user that is most likely to appear on the undetermined road segment; actively positioning the candidate mobile user to obtain positioning information; and returning to the step of collecting communication events of a mobile user currently on a monitored road with the active positioning as one communication event for the candidate mobile user, to determine the real-time travel time of the undetermined road segment.

    • The present invention provides a service providing device and a service providing method enabling a user to accept the service by utilizing the capabilities of several various devices. An available physical device or a combination of the physical devices is selected for the user based on the service requirement, and the user accepts the service via the selected physical device or the combination of the physical devices. The invention “hides” the physical devices by using a virtual device to provide the service for users. Furthermore, the invention provides a “tailored” virtual device based on the environment around the user, the favorite of user and the requirements of the service, and therefore the invention may provide to the user the “tailored” information suitable for the user. The operating environment of the virtual device according to the invention is dynamically changeable according to the environment around the user, the favorite of user and the requirements of the service, and therefore a seamless service may be provided to the user.
