    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high rigidity and longer operating life in a rolling bearing device mounted on a narrow space without enlarging the device size. SOLUTION: The bearing device includes an inner race member 2 having a flange 15 in its outer circumferential surface on one axial side and axial double-line first and second inner race surfaces 16, 17 in an outer circumferential surface on the other axial side; an outer race member 1 having axial double-line first and second outer race surfaces 12, 13, opposed axially to the double-line first and second inner race surfaces 16, 17 of the inner race member 2 in its inner circumferential surface and a flange 14 in its outer circumferential surface; and groups 4, 5 of axial double-line first and second rolling elements interposed between the first and second outer race surfaces 12, 13 of the outer race member 1 and the first and second inner race surfaces 16, 17 of the inner race member 2. The relationship between the pitch circle diameter D 1 of the group of the first rolling elements 4 and the pitch circle diameter D 2 of the group of the second rolling elements 5 is set as D 1 >D 2 . Each rolling element in the group of the first rolling elements 4 is set smaller in diameter, while the number of the rolling elements in the group of the first rolling elements 4 is increased.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen a service life by enhancing rigidity while avoiding an enlargement of a device, in a rolling bearing device installed in a narrow place. SOLUTION: This rolling bearing device includes an inner ring member 2 having a flange 15 on an outer peripheral surface on one side in the axial direction and having first and second inner ring raceway surfaces 16 and 17 of two rows in the axial direction on an outer peripheral surface on the other side in the axial direction, an outer ring member 1 having first and second outer ring raceway surfaces 12 and 13 of two rows in the axial direction respectively opposed in the radial direction to the first and second inner ring raceway surfaces 16 and 17 of the two rows of the inner ring member 2 on an inner peripheral surface and having a flange 14 on the outer peripheral surface, and first and second rolling element groups 4 and 5 of two rows in the axial direction interposed between the first and second outer ring raceway surfaces 12 and 13 of the outer ring member 1 and the first and second inner ring raceway surfaces 16 and 17 of the inner ring member 2. The relationship between a pitch circle diameter D 1 of the first rolling element group 4 and a pitch circle diameter D 2 of the second rolling element group 5 is set to D 1 >D 2 . The diameter of the respective rolling elements of the first rolling element group 4 is set small, and the rolling element number of the first rolling element group 4 is increased.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a lifetime extension of a rolling bearing device by accomplishing a high rigidity without upsizing an apparatus, in the rolling bearing device attached in the narrow place. SOLUTION: A rolling bearing device 100 takes advantage of a free space 11 between a flange 14 of an outer ring of a spiral wound gasket 1 and a flange 15 of a hub spindle 2, so that a pitch circle diameter of a ball group 4 by the side of vehicle outer is set greater than that of a ball group 5 of vehicle inner side. Thereby, the bearing load pitch of the ball groups 4 and 5 of each train is increased without enlarging the rolling bearing device 100.
