    • The present invention relates to a digital receiver and a method for processing contents in the digital receiver. A digital receiver for 3D service according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a receiving unit which receives a 3D video base stream and system information including PVR support information of the 3D video base stream; a download module which adds a time-stamp to the 3D video base stream, and controls to configure and store an index file including information for PVR function performance of the 3D base stream, which is extracted from the PVR support information; a PVR module including an upload module which uploads the stored 3D video base stream on the basis of at least one of the index file and time-stamp values; a decoder which decodes the uploaded 3D video base stream; a formatter which formats the decoded 3D video data according to an output format; and an output unit which outputs the formatted 3D video data.

    • According to one embodiment of the present invention a method for processing 3D video data comprises the steps of: receiving a broadcast signal including 3D video data and service information; identifying whether or not a corresponding virtual channel provides 3D service from a first signaling table in the service information; extracting a service identifier and a stereo format descriptor including first component information on the 3D service from the first signaling table; reading second component information corresponding to the first component information from a second signaling table having a program number mapped in the service identifier for the virtual channel, and extracting basic PID information on the basis of the read second component information; extracting stereo format information on a stereo video element from the stereo format descriptor; and decoding the stereo video element on the basis of the extracted stereo format information and outputting the decoded stereo video element.

Another example of a digital receiver that processes 3D video data according to the present invention comprises: a receiving unit for receiving a first broadcast signal, including a first 3D service and first signaling data for the first 3D service, via a first channel, and a second broadcast signal, including a second 3D service related to the first 3D service and second signaling data for the second 3D service, via a second channel; a demultiplexer for demultiplexing 3D service data and signaling data from the first broadcast signal and second broadcast signal, respectively; a control unit for controlling the received second broadcast signal on the basis of the demultiplexed first signaling data such that the second broadcast signal is converted into extended 3D service data and displayed at a predetermined point on a display screen; a decoder for decoding each datum of the 3D service data; a formatter for formatting each datum of the decoded 3D service data in accordance with an output format of the display screen; and a display unit for displaying each datum of the formatted 3D service data on the screen.

    • A broadcast receiver and a 3D video data processing method thereof are disclosed herein. a 3D video data processing method of a broadcast receiver according to an embodiment of the present invention includes receiving, by a receiving unit, a broadcast signal including 3D video data and 3D complementary video information, wherein the 3D video data include half-resolution base video data and complementary video data for configuring a full-resolution image; parsing, by 3D video information processing unit, a 3D complementary video information; decoding, by a base video decoder, the half-resolution base video data; decoding, by a complementary video decoder, the complementary video data for configuring a full-resolution image; acquiring and storing by a Program and System Information Protocol (PSIP) processor 3D complementary video information through 3D complementary video descriptor in Event Information Table (EIT); and combining and formatting, by an output formatter, the base video data and the complementary video data using the 3D complementary video information, thereby outputting a full-resolution 3D image.
