摘要： The present invention is a family of portable humidifiers. Each of the portable humidifiers has a housing, a number of wick assemblies, and a fan. The housing has an air inlet, an air outlet and a reservoir for holding water. The number of wick assemblies are positioned within the housing to contact the water in the reservoir. The wick assemblies are arranged in parallel between the air inlet and the fan. The fan is provided within the housing for creating an airflow. The airflow enters the air inlet, passes through the wick assemblies for adding moisture to the airflow from the water in the reservoir, and exits through the air outlet. The number for at least one of the portable humidifiers is different from the number for another of the portable humidifiers. Preferably each of the portable humidifiers includes a wick frame seated within the reservoir for supporting the wick assemblies. Each of the wick assemblies preferably has a wick element and a button.

摘要： A humidifier includes a base unit defining a reservoir for retaining a liquid. A liquid supply tank is also provided which is supported by and positionable within the base unit. The tank further includes an aperture defined by an aperture wall disposed on the top wall of the tank in order to permit the liquid to be introduced into the tank. The humidifier also includes a plug assembly having an outer diameter dimensioned for being insertable into the tank aperture. The plug assembly has a mechanism for increasing the plug's outer diameter. Such that when the plug assembly is inserted in the aperture, actuation of the mechanism for increasing the outer diameter urges the plug assembly against the aperture wall thereby sealing the aperture.

摘要： A lamp including a base for supporting the lamp on a surface, an upwardly directed shade assembly having a top opening to permit light and heat to be directed outwardly therefrom and a stem extending between and connecting the base to the shade assembly. A light socket is provided within the shade assembly and an electrical circuit provides power to the light socket. The shade assembly includes at least a lower shade portion and an upper shade portion. The upper and lower shade portions forming an interface therebetween. The upper shade portion is removably attachable from the lower shade portion for purposes of packaging. The shade assembly opening is also provided with a protective guard extending substantially across the opening. The electrical circuit includes a safety interface device positioned at the interface of the lower shade portion or the upper shade portion such that power to the light socket is terminated unless the upper shade portion is properly affixed to the lower shade portion. In preferred embodiments, the safety interface device is either a switch device or an electrical connector device. Accordingly, the lamp cannot be operated unless properly assembled so that a desired distance is maintained between the heat source and the protective guard on which combustibles may contact.

A toaster is provided having a housing frame having an upper portion defining at least one opening for receiving an item to be toasted. A carriage for supporting the item is mounted to the frame and movable relative to the frame to at least three positions: a toasting position, a loading position and a raised position which is located vertically higher than the loading position. A flange is fixed to the carriage, and an abutment member is provided for engagement with the flange. The member includes a slot defining at least a first flange-receiving area adjacent one end of the slot and a second flange-receiving area adjacent another end of the slot. When the carriage is moved to the loading position, the flange is positioned and may be locked within the first flange-receiving area. When the carriage is positioned in the raised position, the flange is positioned within the second flange-receiving area. This may allow the carriage to be locked in the raised position.
