摘要： A system and method for clock synchronization in a network having one or more asynchronous data links is provided. A clock signal is propagated through, at the physical layer, a sequence of network devices linking a source network device to a destination network device of the network. Each asynchronous data link between the source network device and the destination network device is adapted to receive an incoming clock signal from the previous network device and then provide a clock signal synchronized to the received clock signal to the next network device of the sequence. At the same time, each network device of an asynchronous segment of the network can continue to transmit packets of data asynchronously. By locking the link-based frequency on a per link bases, the receiver clocks located at the edge of a network can be tied directly to a primary source located in the core network.

摘要： A closure adapted to be applied to a neck of a vessel or container so as to seal a comparatively wide mouth in said neck has a rim or skirt which is divided up into a plurality of sections by slits between the sections depending from a lid portion of the closure and a stressing or tensioning band placed around the rim, the arrangement being such that there is at most only slight engagement between corresponding screw threads or the like on the neck and in the skirt when the closure is applied to the neck, full sealing engagement between the said screw threads being produced by tensioning of said band after the closure is in position on the neck, such tensioning causing the initially radially outwardly splayed said sections to be pulled radially inwardly on to the neck. The vessel and closure are preferably of thermoplastic material. Preferably tensioning of said band also causes the closure to move axially into more intimate contact with the vessel to compress a sealing ring and thereby improve the seal therebetween.

摘要： In producing hollow bodies by blow molding from thermoplastic material, a preferably tubular preform is firstly formed, and is then expanded within the blowing mold under the effect of an inert gas under high pressure, until it bears entirely against the inside surface of the blowing mold. Thereafter, a reaction gas such as fluorine is introduced into the hollow body under a considerably lower pressure, while the hollow body is still in the mold, to treat the internal surface of the hollow body to render it impervious to gas and/or liquid. After the reaction has elapsed, a flushing and cooling gas is introduced into the hollow body and is then removed from the blowing mold after the hollow body has sufficiently set.
