    • An adjustable armrest assembly for an ergonomic chair provides for adjustment of the armrests in the forward and rearward direction relative to the front of the chair without inhibiting adjustment of the armrests in other directions. A support frame having one or more rails or rods running perpendicular to the chair front is connected to the seat bottom. The support frame is slidably mounted on the seat bottom to permit sideways adjustment of the width between the chair arms. A support base, to which the chair arm is connected, is slidably supported on the rods. A controller attached to the support frame moves the support base along a line extending from the front to the back of the chair. In one embodiment, the controller includes a gear assembly and a screw drive attached to a manual crank. An expandable linkage is provided between the left and right support member so that both are simultaneously moved while still permitting width adjustment.

    • Self-powered apparatus for indicating the existence of a fault in any of a plurality of conductors in an multiconductor electrical distribution system. The plurality of conductors pass through the window of a closed loop core structure current transformer, and the current transformer has a power output and a signal output. The power output is connected to, and drives, fault indicating means and starting means. The starting means initiate operation of control signal translation means which are connected to the current transformer signal output. Also included are transmission means connected to the control signal translation means and to prevention means incorporated within the indicating means, and the transmission means transmit the control signal from the signal translation means to the prevention means. The indicating means are responsive to operation of the prevention means, such that only when the control signal is transmitted to the prevention means will the indicating means be allowed to operate. The entire apparatus is powered only during the existence of a fault, and derives its power by the fault's causing current to flow within the current transformer. The apparatus may also be utilized in a current-monitoring function for a single conductor.

    • Disclosed is an automatic pet relief station (10) consisting of a housing (12) with an opening (14) to permit entry and exit of pets, an endless belt (16) positioned within the housing (12) to support a pet, a dispenser (18) positioned within the housing (12) for distributing litter on the endless belt (16), and a recycler (20) to cleanse soiled litter, dry the cleansed litter, and deposit the cleansed litter in the dispenser (18) for reuse. After a pet uses the relief station (10), the endless belt begins to travel, with soiled litter being received by the recycler (20) from one end of the endless belt (16), while clean litter is evenly distributed upon the opposite end of the endless belt (16) by the dispenser (18) as the endless belt (16) moves beneath the dispenser (18), thereby replacing the soiled litter. The recycler (20) cleanses the soiled litter, dries the cleansed litter, and deposits the dry cleansed litter into the dispenser (18) for reuse.

    • A circuit interrupter includes a digital trip unit containing a microprocessor. The circuit interrupter also includes current transformers for sensing current flow through the contacts of the interrupter and for providing operating power to the trip unit. The current transformers monitoring current flow through the breaker and control potentiometers receiving operator-entered values of the product of line voltage and power factor are connected to the microprocessor to supply it with the values needed to compute real power flow through the interrupter and to display the numeric value of this power flow. The power flow is compared to an operator-entered limit value of peak demand power, and an alarm signal is generated whenever power flow exceeds the limit value peak demand. Integration capability is also provided to calculate energy flow through the contacts in megawatt hours and to present the numeric value of this energy flow.

    • A bow protector for protecting and cushioning the bow of watercraft such as sailboats, which includes a shaped, impact-receiving nose portion having a V-shaped inner angle for engaging the front edge of the bow and rearwardly extending arms designed to seat on opposite anterior surfaces of the bow. In a preferred embodiment the bow protector is provided with a longitudinal impact slot extending through the center of the nose portion and spaced ancillary impact slots also projecting through the nose portion and located adjacent to the central impact slot, in order to cushion impact forces received by the bow protector when the watercraft strikes a dock, another watercraft or any other relatively unyielding object. The bow protector is suspended on the bow of the watercraft by means of starboard and port elastic guy lines which extend through guy line openings provided in the bow protector and are anchored to cleats secured to the foredeck of the watercraft. The bow protector is particularly well designed to absorb and displace the shock of collision between angled bow sailboats and a dock or other object, by initially elastically deforming upon impact to perform a primary cushioning function and subsequently allowing the bow to ride upwardly with respect to the bow protector, in order to further dissipate the impact shock in a secondary shock-absorbing action.
