    • A control system including interfaced hand and foot control assemblies for independently conditioning an off-highway implement by selectively positioning a regulator thereof relative a neutral position. The hand and foot control assemblies utilize a common force transfer mechanism in the form of a push/pull cable for moving and positioning the regulator. The foot control assembly includes a self-centered foot pedal and linkages for arranging the push/pull cable relative to the regulator in a manner inhibiting binding forces from being imparted to the cable. The hand control assembly requires independent movement of a control lever in two different planes to shift the hand control assembly from a neutral condition. Moreover, the hand control assembly is isolated from spring forces acting to self center the foot pedal and thus requires low operator efforts to adjust the position of the regulator. The control system of the present invention further includes a mechanism for governing operation of the regulator. A neutral switch assembly is preferably arranged in combination with the hand control assembly for controlling auxiliary functions on the implement.

    • A method and apparatus for interacting with incoming text information, e.g., a user query. The method of the present invention categorizes the incoming text information, and may also provide associated confidence levels with the categorization feature. The categorized information is used to query a database having associated category information with associated threshold values. The confidence levels may also be used when querying the database. The categorized information and corresponding confidence levels are then compared to the threshold value. If the categorized information and corresponding confidence levels equals or exceeds the threshold value then a response is provided by the system and method of the present invention. If the categorized information and corresponding confidence levels does not equal or exceed the threshold value then the system of the present invention will request further information of the user, and the method will repeat until (i) the categorized information and corresponding confidence levels equals or exceeds the threshold value or (ii) the system of the present invention times out.

    • A sign for highway use or advertising comprises a sign stand 100 and a replaceable stretch sleeve 401. The sign stand comprises a base 120 and two vertical columns 106, 107 having receiving surfaces 106D, 108D comprising recesses 106F, 108F and raised portions 106E, 108E. The sleeve is stretched over the vertical surfaces and is retained in the recesses of the vertical surfaces by the raised portions. The sleeve is made of polyethylene film and contains indicia 407. The stretchable sleeve provides a means to easily replace the indicia of the signs. The sleeve is reusable and recyclable.

    • A disposable blood pressure cuff is made from a composite of a non-stretchable paper component and an elastic thermoplastic material component. The paper component provides the necessary outer circumferential strength for the cuff so that it will not stretch outwardly when it is inflated. The thermoplastic layer provides an inwardly expandable surface for contacting a limb of the patient which the cuff encircles. A tape tab is included to releasably attach the cuff to the patient's limb. The tab is provided with a visible indicium which indicates the proper degree of overlap of the ends of the cuff when the latter is affixed to the patient's limb. The cuff may be used by only one patient, and may be discarded when the patient is finished with it. The cuff is provided with a one-piece slip luer fitting which includes a flange disposed within the chamber, and an annular tube projecting through an outer component of the cuff. The slip luer flange is adhered to the outer cuff component, and the annular tube includes a tapered part which is operative to provide a sealed joint with a complementary luer fitting on a blood pressure monitor inflation/deflation line, thereby eliminating the necessity of a separate hose component on the cuff.
