    • Disclosed herein is a process for the production of a polysiloxane-polyorgano block copolymer. The process includes reacting a reaction mixture containing (a) an ester-functional polydiorganosiloxane and (b) a bisphenolic compound or a bisphenolic compound oligomer. This process has the advantage of yielding block copolymers with controlled block structures and avoiding the impurities that may be carried over from the conventional hydroxyaryloxy-terminated-polydiorganosiloxanes.Also disclosed are ester-functional polysiloxanes and polysiloxane-polyorgano block copolymers prepared by the process of the invention. These copolymers exhibit advantageous properties such as improved low temperature properties, improved rheological properties during molding, improved clarity, chemical, scratch resistance, and improved electrical insulation properties.

    • A system and method for providing concurrent mechanical and electrical connections to a speaker system allows full rotational motion of a speaker with respect to an enclosure. The system comprises a mechanical mounting mechanism having an integrated electrical coupling mechanism configured to establish a concurrent mechanical and electrical connection between the speaker and the enclosure. The mounting system comprises cylindrical intermating members that are configured to axially and concentrically couple with one another, which allows the speaker to have a full range of rotational motion with respect to the enclosure. Thus, the system is designed so that the cylindrical intermating members of the speaker portion of the system concentrically and axially couple with the cylindrical intermating members of the enclosure portion of the system, thereby allowing concurrent electrical and mechanical coupling between the speaker and the enclosure. The speaker is allowed a full range of rotational motion with respect to the enclosure because the coupling of the speaker to the enclosure is done via axially concentric cylindrical intermating members.

    • A compact configurable computer and mixed media workstation and enclosure designed for housing a plurality of integrated and user-provided electronic and mixed-media devices, an internal power supply, and connection cables. Said workstation and enclosure being essentially a six-sided hollow structure defined with various chambers and levels, a slide out shelf which extends from bottom of enclosure, a wing shelf which extends from opposing sides of said enclosure and provides a user work surface and a note tray and with electronics assemblies and a note taking element incorporated into said wing shelf. The top of the enclosure is characterized with a split top, where a front section is hingedly attached to the enclosure and folds forward to reveal an interior user work surface and a lower, forward work surface, and where a rear section may be configured to fold back to reveal an access door to a power and cable containment chamber. All chambers are latchable with single-throw mechanism. The enclosure is further intermated with a shell cover and container stand to store, transport and protect the enclosure; said stand also configurable as a positionable stand on which to place said enclosure for use.
