    • A fluidic cooling assembly for removing heat from electrical equipment includes operational diversity features in which multiple fluid moving devices are mounted in a single housing. The assembly may include a first fluid baffle and a second fluid baffle disposed within the housing so as to define a first and a second control compartment. A first fan and a second fan may be disposed within the first control compartment and the second control compartment, respectively. A first sensor and a second sensor may be configured to sense changes in operation of the first fluid moving device and the second fluid moving device, respectively; and a controller unit configured for receiving signals generated by the first sensor and the second sensor go as to the transmit control signals to the first fan and the second fan.

    • A medium voltage variable frequency drive having a 2-high controller configuration with a dual bus system is described. The drive control system includes at least one motor control cabinet housing a fused medium voltage bypass controller, a non-fused transfer controller positioned above the fused medium voltage bypass controller, an extendable output bus coupled to the non-fused medium voltage transfer controller, and an extendable supply bus coupled to the fused medium voltage bypass controller. The drive control system further includes a variable frequency drive cabinet housing a variable frequency drive. The variable frequency drive is coupled to the extendable output bus and a power supply line. The power supply line may be further coupled to the extendable supply bus. The drive control system includes at least one cabling transition cabinet housing cabling between the at least one motor control cabinet, the power supply line, and the variable frequency drive.

    • An 18n-pulse rectifier for AC drive systems having a separate DC bus for each output phase is described, where n=any positive integer. The rectifier uses three separate phase rectifiers, one for each output phase of a transformer, each comprised of n six-pulse diode bridges connected in series or parallel. Each phase rectifier may be supplied with n unique sets of phase inputs from a transformer secondary winding. In some configurations, the n sets of inputs provided to each rectifier are separated by 60/n degrees of phase (when n is greater than 1), while the corresponding inputs to neighboring rectifiers are separated by 20/n degrees of phase. In a 36-pulse example, the phase offsets for the inputs provided to the rectifiers may be −25° and +5° from the transformer primary winding (for the first rectifier), −15° and +15° from the primary winding (for the second rectifier) and −5° and +25° from the primary winding (for the third rectifier). Each set of inputs may include three lines of in-phase current, and may be coupled to one of the six-pulse diode bridges.
