摘要： A brush for removing cremated remains from a crematory oven is entirely formed of metal to resist the high temperatures of the oven and has two linear brush assemblies fixed to a top frame. A steel handle extends rearwardly from the frame for grasping by a brush operator. One of the linear brush assemblies has smaller diameter crimped stainless steel bristles and is positioned at the front of the brush, the other of the linear brush assemblies has larger diameter crimped stainless steel bristles and is fixed to the top frame rearward of the front brush assembly. Side brush assemblies extend sidewardly and upwardly of the other two. In operation the brush is inserted at the front of the oven and drawn rearwardly after the cremation such that the rear bristles encounter and withdraw the larger elements of the remains, and the front bristles encounter and withdraw the smaller elements.

摘要： A support brace for a musical instrument such as a base trombone has a flexible band which is configured to be wrapped around a user's wrist and hand. The band has an upwardly extending first pocket which contains a first reinforcement member. Straps extend from the band and employ hook and loop fastener material to adjustably retain the band on the user's wrist and hand. An elliptical support knob extends outwardly from the band and is configured to receive and support a horizontal tube portion of the musical instrument. A first fastener with a head extends through the first reinforcement member and the band and is secured to the support knob, thereby joining the knob to the reinforcement member so that forces applied to the support knob are carried to the first reinforcement member. The instrument height can be adjusted by rotating and securing in place the elliptical support knob.

摘要： A vacuum cleaner for use in cleaning very hot crematory ovens has a suction head mounted on side wheels, and connected to a central fitting which receives compressed air through a stiff metal air supply pipe. An expansion pipe extends upwardly from the central fitting and is tipped frontwardly. The compressed air passes through the central fitting which incorporates a vacuum eductor which draws air flow in from the vacuum head. The hot air discharges through a filter cap at the upper end of the expansion pipe which retains a filter assembly of multiple screens against the upper end of the expansion pipe. Dust and small particles pass through the filter assembly to be carried away by hot air up the crematory chimney. Larger particles are retained by the filter assembly, and may be discharged downwardly from the vacuum head into a receptacle when the input compressed air is discontinued.

摘要： A crematory lift has a frame with a vertically extending member with a carriage with tines mounted for vertical displacement. A support bed is pivotably mounted to the carriage tines and has a ball segment on its rearward end with rotatable balls permitting sideward positioning of a decedent thereon and a roller segment on the forward end which permits the forward displacement of the decedent. A hydraulic actuator extends between the carriage and the support bed rear where it is remote from the oven's heat and operates to raise and incline the support bed to discharge the decedent into the oven. The support bed has four forward strap mounts with U-shaped slots with strap support tabs which receive straps for lifting of a decedent positioned below the support bed.

摘要： A mortuary tray for use within a first call vehicle for removing the body of a decedent from the place of death is adjustable in length to suit various vehicles and may be readily broken down into component parts for economical shipping. A rear part is adjustably received within a front part, and a ramp is hinged to the front part. These three parts may be fabricated of lightweight sheet-metal. The front part has protruding fasteners which extend within parallel slots in the rear part and secured by nuts. The ramp has three segments defined by two folds: a first segment aligns with and extends over the rear opening of a vehicle, a second segment extends over the rear bumper, and a narrow third part is the first which engages a mortuary cot as it enters the vehicle.
