摘要： Disclosed is a release on demand type corrosion inhibitor composition for a metal substrate formed from only non-electrically conductive film forming copolymer(s); a nitrogen containing functional group X, where the group X comprises a pyridine, a dihydropyridine, a pyrrole, an imidazole, or a mixtures thereof; and a metallate anion. The metallate anion binds to a nitrogen in the functional group X by ion pairing. A localized rise in pH is believed to cause release of the anion via a protonation/deprotonation reaction and the released anion suppresses the corrosion formation. The coating composition includes no electrically conductive polymers.

摘要： The invention consists of a plurality of hinged panels including side rails where the panels on each end are shorter in length than the panels between them. The panel on one end is shorter in length than the panel on the other end. Both end panels are tapered in thickness and in with. The top surface is covered with projects forming rectangular cavities with the top of the long sides higher at the ends than in the mid-section. The bottom surface includes fasteners for removably attaching cleats for gripping slippery surfaces. A variety of cleats are proposed for securing the mat under different conditions. Bracing arms are provided to support the mat in an upright position when it is used as a highway warning marker. The mat is brightly colored for daytime use and the side rails and bracing arms are covered with light reflective material for use during the hours of darkness. The panels are so hinged that one half will fold over the remaining half without interference for storage.

摘要： Plasticizing resins, aqueous dispersions of cationic resins, and methods of making the same for use in cathodic electrodeposition are disclosed. The resins are formed from reacting a polyoxyalkylenepolyamine, a phenol, and a formaldehyde. The reactants may further include a block building unit derived from a polyepoxide. When used in combination with other conventional electrodepositable resins, deposited films with improved mechanical properties and descreased tendency toward cratering are obtained.

摘要： What is disclosed is a water-based adhesive composition that is an aqueous dispersion or emulsion of a polymer component having functional groups that are inactive in a reversible manner in the adhesive composition as prepared; and a water-soluble, or water emulsion, or dispersion of a cross linker component having functional groups wherein the functional groups are inactive in a reversible manner in the adhesive composition as prepared. Preferably the adhesive composition has a pH of from 7 to 11 and a volatile stabilizing base component is used to inactivate the functional groups and to provide the pH. The functional groups in the polymer component and the cross linker component are activated when the volatile base is removed during lamination heat treatment. The adhesive composition can be used to adhere a variety of plastic films to metal substrates without reliance on non-water-based adhesives.
