    • An automatic bowling alley has a bowling lane with two ends. The bowling alley further includes a pin setup frame provided at one end of the bowling lane for handling a plurality of bowling pins. The pin setup frame includes a pin magazine for retaining a number of the pins therebelow. A pin support plate is located below the pin magazine. A device is provided for vertically moving the pin support plate in and out of an initial position and toward and away from the pin magazine to receive the pins from the pin magazine. A device is provided for tilting the pin support plate during the vertical movement into an intermediate tilting position to clear any pins therefrom. A sorting device is located beneath the pin support plate for separating and arranging the pins received therein into an aligned position. A pin conveyor is provided for transporting, in a predetermined position, the pins from the sorting device to the pin magazine.

    • Rubber blanket sleeve for a channel-free rubber blanket cylinder of an offset printing machine and process of producing rubber blanket sleeve. The rubber blanket sleeve includes an inner, dimensionally stable support sleeve arranged as a supporting layer, and a microporous compressible elastomer layer having a compressibility within a range between about 7% and 15% with a load of 100 N/cm2. The elastomer layer includes a rubber matrix having a tensile stress of greater than about 2.2 N/mm2 and less than about 15 N/mm2 with 100% elongation. An outer covering rubber layer is arranged as a printing layer. All of the layers are composed of seamless, cylindrical bodies and are coupled to one another. The process includes arranging an inner, dimensionally stable support sleeve as a supporting layer, and positioning a microporous compressible elastomer layer having a compressibility within a range between about 7% and 15% with a load of 100 N/cm2 over the support sleeve. The elastomer layer includes a rubber matrix having a tensile stress of greater than about 2.2 N/mm2 and less than about 15 N/mm2 with 100% elongation. The process further includes arranging an outer covering rubber layer as a printing layer, such that all of the layers are composed of seamless, cylindrical bodies and are coupled to one another.

    • A device for avoiding gear flank backlash or chattering of first and second gear trains. Each of the gear trains include a plurality of mutually meshing gear wheels. The first gear train has a first initial wheel and a first end wheel. The first initial wheel is driven. The second gear train has a second initial wheel and a second end wheel. The second end wheel is driven. The first and second initial wheels of the first and second gear trains are non-rotatably connected to one another. A tensioning device is connected between the first and second end wheels and it produces a torque in a preferred rotational direction of the gear wheels of the first gear train. The torque acts between the first initial wheel and the first end wheel and ensures a definite flank alignment of the gear wheels during the operation of the first gear train.
