摘要： The invention relates to a communication device and method that dynamically uses frequency resources, and more particularly, to a mobile terminal and a communication method that can dynamically allocate frequencies. The mobile terminal, which can dynamically allocate frequencies includes a communication module including a cognitive engine and a communication system block. The cognitive engine searches frequency bands based on both specific frequency policy and a service chosen by the user and selects a specific frequency band from the searched frequency bands. The communication system block includes a platform block for performing configuration for the selected frequency band and at least one component block for performing data processing based on a specific protocol according tox the configuration of the platform block.

The mobile station can use CQICH of 4 bits or 6 bits to request mode conversion.
