    • An electron emission device (EED) includes a display panel, first and second electrode drivers, and a controller. The display panel includes first electrodes in the column direction, second electrodes in the row direction, and an electron emission source. The first and the second electrode drivers drive the first and the second electrodes. The controller receives first vertical and horizontal synchronous signals and an input signal including video data, regenerates a first vertical synchronous signal and a second horizontal synchronous signal according to a blank-time information of a blank-time for representing no gray scales of an image and an on-time information of an on-time for representing the gray scales thereof, generates the drive signal for driving the display panel based on the regenerated second vertical and horizontal synchronous signals, and outputs them to the first and second electrode drivers.

    • An Electron Emission Display (EED) device, adapted to of adjust a pulse width of data signal according to an active pulse width of a horizontal synchronization signal, includes: a scan driver, a data driver; an EED panel displaying display data; a reference signal memory adapted to store a lookup table of active pulse widths of horizontal synchronization signals defined by a system clock and reference signals corresponding to the active pulse widths of the horizontal synchronization signals; a reference signal referring unit adapted to output a reference signal in accordance with the lookup table stored in the reference signal memory; and a gray level signal generator adapted to count the reference signal and output a gray level signal to the data driver, the data driver outputting video data corresponding to the gray level signal to data electrode lines of the EED panel.

A light emitting device for providing light to a display that displays images is provided. The device includes: a display unit that includes scan lines, column lines, and light emission pixels, the scan lines respectively applied with first scan signals and second scan signals during one frame period; a local brightness controller that generates a dimming signal having brightness information of the light emission pixels, generates motion flag signals having motion information corresponding to the light emission pixels, and generates ratio control signals having division information of the dimming signal according to the motion flag signals; and a controller that divides the dimming signal into first divided dimming data and second divided dimming data according to the ratio control signals.

    • A light emitting device and a display device using the light emitting device as a light source and including a panel assembly. The panel assembly has a gate lines for transferring gate signals, data lines for transferring data signals, and pixels at crossing regions of the gate lines and the data lines. The light emitting device provides a light source to the panel assembly. The light emitting device has a plurality of light emission pixels, and each light emission pixel corresponds to at least one of the pixels of the panel assembly. The display device has a brightness controller coupled to both the light emitting device and the panel assembly. The brightness controller generates and serializes light emission information signals for determining light emission levels of the light emission pixels and transmits the light emission information signals by differential signaling to the light emitting device.

    • A field emission display with a first substrate and a second substrate which are arranged opposite to each other and have a specific distance between them. At least one first electrode is formed on the first substrate and at least one second electrode is formed on the second substrate. At least one third electrode is insulated from the first electrode and an electron emission source is connected to the third electrode. A fourth electrode controls the electrons emitted from the electron emission source so that they reach the second electrode. A driver detects a current flowing through the fourth electrode and controls a driving voltage applied to the fourth electrode based on the detected current.
