摘要： A solar cell module and a method for manufacturing the same are discussed. The solar cell module includes a substrate including an electricity generation area and an edge area that are divided by an insulating area, and a plurality of solar cells positioned in the electricity generation area. Each of the solar cells includes a transparent electrode on the substrate, a silicon electricity generation layer on the transparent electrode, and a back electrode on the silicon electricity generation layer. The back electrode of one solar cell is electrically connected to the transparent electrode of another solar cell adjacent to the one solar cell. A side of a transparent electrode of an outermost solar cell adjacent to the insulating area is covered by a side portion of a silicon electricity generation layer of the outermost solar cell exposed in the insulating area.

摘要： A method and apparatus for scheduling the transmission of data packets over a multihop wireless backhaul network in which delay guarantees through the network may be advantageously ensured. Illustratively, a novel packet scheduling scheme is provided which is advantageously based on an existing scheduling policy for wireline networks and for which a delay guarantee (based on the delay characteristics of the existing scheduling policy) can be advantageously ensured. In one embodiment, an even-odd link activation framework is defined for a given multihop wireless backhaul network, and an associated scheduling policy based on an arbitrary existing scheduling policy for wireline networks is derived and adopted. In such a case, the derived scheduling policy, when applied to the given multihop wireless backhaul network, advantageously ensures a worst-case delay guarantee of approximately twice that of the existing scheduling policy for wireline networks.

摘要： A method includes receiving data identifying new media content items to be added to a media distribution system that provides media content on demand to a plurality of endpoints. The media distribution system includes a plurality of distribution nodes, and each of the distribution nodes is coupled to a subset of the endpoints. Historical demand is determined during a particular time period for existing media content items that include content available via at least one of the distribution nodes before the data was received. The method includes forecasting demand for media content items, including new media content items and existing media content items, based on the historical demand. Each media content item is assigned to, and stored at, at least one corresponding distribution node based at least partially on a cost function and the forecasted demand.
