摘要： An angular sensor has a shaped dual magnet structure carried upon a pole piece having a generally "c" shaped cross-section. The magnet and pole piece define a generally circular linear field which is concentric about the axis of rotation of the complete rotor. A Hall effect device is inserted into the open portion or gap between the two magnets and is exposed to a well defined field. Through the use of particular magnet materials and a magnet geometry extending from the axis of rotation to a point well beyond the Hall sensor, a precise and yet tolerant magnetic circuit is produced.

The magnets, the pole piece and the air gap between the magnets define a closed magnetic circuit. A Hall effect sensor is fixedly mounted in the air gap and is exposed to a well defined but varying magnetic field coupled between the magnets. Through the use of specific magnetic materials and sloping, curved surfaces, a precise yet tolerance friendly magnetic circuit is produced so that the sensor produces signals as a function of the angular positions of the magnets.

摘要： An amplifying pneumatic switch which is responsive to low pressure signals includes a first chamber for receiving an input signal from a first pneumatic pressure source at a first pressure. The first chamber includes a wall formed by a movable, highly resilient diaphragm. A diaphragm plate is disposed generally coextensive with the diaphragm and is responsive to diaphragm movement. A nozzle is coupled to a second source of pneumatic pressure and is sealable for generating a pneumatic output signal at a second pressure. A sealing mechanism including a lever and a plunger coact between the diaphragm and the nozzle for sealing the nozzle in response to the input signal. A spring is provided for biasing the diaphragm plate to a quiescent position in the absence of an input signal.

The adapter can then be sealably attached to a plumbing fitting, such as a valve or the like, utilizing a conventional flat gasket between the flange of the adapter and the plumbing fitting. The installation is completed by inserting a conduit into the adapter to clear the O-ring and crimping the bead formed by the recess to complete the sealed connection.

A signal generating section is provided and controls the speed of a blower for regulating the differential pressure. The first means and the second means are positionably displaceable one to the other in response to the magnitude of the differential pressure. Two preferred embodiments are disclosed.

摘要： A differential pressure transmitter includes a housing, a first chamber within the housing for receiving an input pressure to be sensed and a second chamber for receiving a transmitter adapted to generate an electrical signal representative of the input pressure. The chambers are separated by a continuously formed, highly resilient diaphragm. A reaction member embodied as a resilient spring is disposed in the second chamber for sensing a position of the diaphragm resulting from the magnitude of the differential pressure thereacross. The reaction member has a magnetized structure mounted thereon which coacts with a Hall effect transducer embodied in the transmitter for detecting the relative position of the magnetized structure and therefore of the diaphragm and responsively generating an electrical signal. The signal may be utilized for positioning actuator controlled dampers within a VAV system duct.

摘要： A capacitance elastomeric pressure sensor includes top and bottom mounting plates arranged to support a pair of electrode layers. The first electrode layer is supported on the upper surface of a dielectric disc held by an upper mounting plate. The second electrode layer is located beneath the disc and includes a conductive elastomeric layer overlying an elastomeric support layer. In the preferred embodiment, the elastomer is a silicone elastomer and the conductive layer is formed by admixing a conductive carbon powder with the silicone. The sensor is particularly effective in sensing pressure changes in this low range, e.g. 0-1 inch of water. In the most preferred embodiment the elastomeric layer is prestrained for temperature compensation.
