摘要： An optoelectronic integrated circuit (OEIC) having an optical core coupled to first and second interface circuits. The first interface circuit is adapted to convert an electrical input signal into an optical signal; the optical core is adapted to process the optical signal in the optical domain; and the second interface circuit is adapted to convert the processed optical signal into an electrical output signal. In one embodiment, an OEIC of the invention is fabricated using a single wafer, has only electrical inputs/outputs, does not have any external optical interfaces, and is not adapted to receive any external optical signals. Advantageously, due to the signal processing being in the optical domain, a circuit of the invention carries out its functionality, with little or no performance degradation, over a relatively wide frequency range. In addition, this circuit has a relatively small size and can be relatively inexpensive.

摘要： A computer-implemented method and system for performing online and offline financial transactions universally between any two users through a third party’s authentication mechanism to verify users’ identities, provided that they have at least a social media account. One user can make any payment to anyone. The SMUP system accesses the third-party’s website for credentials authentication. SMUP can be used for a purchase or money transfers with a live internet connection. The user needs to remember only one account credentials instead of many. One user can be a merchant or organization; wherein one of the users may not previously be a SMUP user, the user may passively become a SMUP user during the transaction. The above financial transactions may also happen online or offline at a physical store where a POS machine is used; the store is a SMUP user or partner, and the POS is connected with the SMUP transaction server.

摘要： A method for controlled removal of a portion of a diffusion coating from a coated superalloy component and a method for rejuvenating a coated superalloy component are provided. The methods include providing the component having an oxide layer, an additive layer between the oxide layer and a diffusion zone, the diffusion zone being between the additive layer and a superalloy substrate of the superalloy component. The methods include selectively removing the oxide layer and a portion of the additive layer by grit blasting, wherein removing creates an exposed portion. Rejuvenating includes applying an aluminide coating to the exposed portion and heat treating at a preselected elevated temperature to form a rejuvenated protective aluminide coating on the superalloy component.
