    • A method and system for predicting manufacturing yield for a proposed integrated circuit The method includes: in the order recited: (a) providing a multiplicity of different integrated circuit library elements in a design database, each library element linked to a corresponding normalization factor in the design database; (b) selecting library elements from the design database to include in a proposed design for the integrated circuit; (c) generating an equivalent circuit count of the proposed design based on the normalization factors and a count of each different library element included in the proposed design; and (d) calculating a predicted manufacturing yield based on the equivalent circuit count, a predicted density of manufacturing defects and an area of the proposed integrated circuit chip.

    • A time-multiplexed data bus driver circuit includes a plurality of combinatorial circuits, each of the circuits forming a logic combination of a datum value, a datum enable signal and a datum timeslot signal, the plurality of circuits producing a plurality of output signals based thereon, and a wired-OR junction producing a logic OR combination of the plurality of output signals representing a time-multiplexed data stream. Preferably, for each of the combinatorial circuits the enable signal, the timeslot signal and the datum signal (and preferably also a clock signal) are combined in an AND function to produce a gating signal for an active-low datum value, one selected active-low datum value being gated onto the wired-OR junction at a given timeslot when enabled. The common time-multiplexed data channel at the wired-OR junction has a pre-charge circuit for biasing the junction to a positive or ground voltage, thereby representing in an un-driven state a respective logic 1 or 0.

    • An apparatus for dispensing at least two liquid compositions, one as a wet spray and one as an aerosol spray comprising at least two liquid supply reservoirs, an air supply for pressurizing the reservoirs, and individual capilliary tubes connecting the reservoirs and a pressurized air source to a dispensing wand. The wand comprises a solid handle with ducts therein connected at one end to one of the capilliary tubes, each duct provided with a suitable valve for controlling fluid flow therethrough. A tube is attached at the opposite end of the handle with capilliary tubes therein attached to the liquid ducts passing therethrough to a nozzle head attached to the opposite end of the tube. The nozzle head is provided with a nozzle to dispense a liquid in the form of a wet spray and a nozzle to dispense a liquid as an aerosol spray with pressurized air passing therethrough and mixing with the liquid to provide the aerosol spray. The pressurized air passes through the handle directly into the tube for mixing with the liquid in the nozzle to form the aerosol spray to apply insecticides both in liquid spray form and as an aerosol spray.

    • A swing gate (30) enables safe locking and unlocking of the gate (30) in the face of a beast (24) captured between rails (36, 38). The gate (30) has a pivot end (32) connected to the rail (36) by hinges (40) and a distal end (34) remote from the pivot end (32). The gate (30) includes a centre hinge (42) between the pivot end (32) and the distal end (34). The centre hinge (42) effectively divides the gate (30) into two sections, namely, a primary section (44) between the pivot end (32) and the centre hinge (42) and a safety section (46) between the centre hinge (42) and the distal end (34). When the beast (24) attacks the gate (30), the primary section (44) can swing open while the safety section (46) folds away to protect an operator (22).

    • The present invention provides a gate latch, comprising: a drop bolt mounted to a first gate member, the drop bolt mounted to a first gate member, the drop bolt moveable along a locking axis; a striker block mounted to a second gate member, the striker block comprising: a first striker surface extending away from the locking axis at a first angle; and a second striker surface extending away from the locking axis at a second angle; and a third striker surface having a tangent line substantially parallel to the locking axis; and a housing for receiving the striker block; wherein the gate latch is locked when the striker bolt is received in the housing and the drop bolt is positioned adjacent to the third striker surface of the striker block. The gate latch has use with swing gates, of the type commonly used in cattle pens.
