摘要： Holographic data storage media having a sandwiched construction are described in which a holographic recording material is sandwiched between two substrates. The holographic media formulation is often formed of two or more components mixed to obtain a homogeneous formulation. The holographic media formulation may include two or more components which are mixed together prior to injection between the substrates. Curing of the holographic media formulation is substantially avoided during mixing, yet accelerated after the formulation is injected between the substrates. Accordingly, the system and techniques can be used to improve the large scale manufacturability of such media by allowing for fabrication of such media within reasonable cycle times, such as less than one minute, while adhering to stringent requirements for optical clarity and parallelism.

More specifically, the lubricant of the invention is a functionalized perfluoropolyether comprising at least about two acrylate groups. In one embodiment, the lubricant of the invention is a functionalized perfluoropolyether comprising a perfluoropolyether tetraacrylate. A magnetic recording medium is also provided comprising a thin metal magnetic recording layer, said layer having a coating of the functionalized perfluoropolyether lubricant comprising at least about three acrylate end groups. An optical recording medium including the functionalized perfluoropolyether lubricant includes at least one magneto-optical layer disposed between two protective layers further disposed between two substrate layers having interior and exterior surfaces, the exterior surface of at least one substrate layer bearing thereon a functionalized perfluoropolyether lubricant comprising a perfluoropolyether tetraacrylate.

摘要： The present invention concerns a magnetic tape cassette housing comprising a polymeric cassette box having an interior surface. The interior surface of the cassette box has been irradiated with an amount of ultraviolet radiation sufficient to impart a priming effect to the interior surface of the cassette box. A wear pad is adhered to the interior surface of the cassette box. The wear pad comprises a low-friction, wear-resistant polyolefin sheet. The wear pad also comprises a polyamide adhesive layer coated on one side of the polyolefin sheet and adhering the polyolefin sheet to the interior surface of the cassette box. In another aspect, the present invention concerns a method of applying a polyolefin sheet to an interior surface of a polymeric cassette box.
