    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static load testing method for conducting a test by applying load in only one direction, testing changes of load in a pulling-up process, and grasping properties of the ground by a simple method to conduct research on an accurate N value and geological features.
      SOLUTION: A rod for checking the ground of a research testing machine having a tip member at its tip is pressed into the ground down to predetermined depth by applying predetermined vertical load to the rod. A curve Pu indicating the vertical load and amount of deformation (amount of settlement) of the rod for checking the ground is recorded at a position where the rod stops due to settlement. Next, the rod for checking the ground is pulled up by predetermined length, a curve Pt indicating the load and amount of deformation when pulling up the rod 2 for checking the ground is obtained, and a curve indicating difference between the curve Pu and the curve Pt is inferred as real curve Pu-Pt to decide the geological features in this method.
