    • The present invention encompasses principally a method of permitting packaging of one or more piece goods in one or more bag units, where said bag units are, in a selected transport direction, oriented after one another and mutually united with the aid of two, each arranged bag side allocated, thickened portions. A first means (1) is disposed whereby each one of said bag units, from a folded and/or united state, becomes openable by causing said respective bag side allocated thickened portions to pass along a distance from one another oriented rails or similar arrangements. A second means (2) is disclosed in order to, in thus opened bag units, allow insertion of one or more piece goods (G). A third means (3) is utilized, whereby each one of said bag units is sealed along a sealing zone, in order thereby to allow the enclosure of said one or more piece goods. A fourth means (4) is adapted to clip and/or cut off a sealed bag through or above said sealing zone, however under said thickened portion. Two carrier strips are selected, with an upper longitudinally oriented thickened portion and lower longitudinally oriented retaining zones, where said lower retaining zones cooperate each one with an upper retaining zone for an edge portion adjacent a bag allocated opening. Said carrier strip and said bag, in a mutually coordinated position, form a bag unit.

    • The disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a continuous edge thickening along the running direction of a stretched and tensioned web material of a positively and continuously transported thermoplastic film material. The web material is folded initially along its outer edge regions running in the drawing direction through 180° at least once, whereafter the web material is, for the fixing of each respective fold, moved around a cylinder or roller. The folded areas are thereafter passed through a welding device in order to provide a unifying weld between the fold/folds and the remainder of the web material. With the utilisation of the residual heat stored in the fused and welded material, each respective folded and welded edge of the web is moved in its tensioned state about rollers displaying progressively reducing available roller width and with ramp formations at each respective outer edge, the folded and welded edge being plastically roll-deformed to a circular or semicircular outer cross section and a hollow inner area or section.

    • The invention relates to a web (20) comprising mutually sequentially disposed package blanks (26) and an arrangement for opening and closing the package blanks. The web has longitudinal first and second edges and a first wall (21a) opposite a second wall (21b). Transverse slits (27) are disposed at the side closures of the package blanks. Each respective wall along the second edge is provided with retainers which guide edge portions of the web when the web is displaced along mechanical devices. The walls (21a, b) of each package blank are provided with a longitudinal slit (29a). The slit (29a) in the first wall extends from the slit (27) at one side closure of the package blank, and the slit in the second wall extends from the slit at the second side closure of the package blank. The mechanical devices are disposed in spaced apart relationship from one another in that part of the apparatus where the package blanks are displaced in the opened state and adjacent to one another when the blanks are displaced in the closed state. Guides (35a, b; 36a, b) displace the edge portions (24a, b) of the web (20) in relation to one another when the package blanks are opened or closed.

    • A web (20) of sequentially disposed package blanks (26) are supplied to an apparatus for opening and closing the package blanks at a filling station. The web has a first wall (21 a) opposite a second wall (21b). Transverse slits (27) are disposed between the side closures of the package blanks. Each respective wall is provided with retainers at its upper edges which guide the edges when the web is displaced along the apparatus. The wall (21a, b) of each package blank is provided with a longitudinal slit (29a). The slit (29a) of the first wall extends from the transverse slit (27) at one side closure of the package blank, and the longitudinal slit of the second wall extends from the transverse slit at the second side closure of the package blank. The apparatus includes mechanical retainer devices which are disposed in transversely spaced relation from one another in that part of the apparatus where the package blanks are displaced in the opened state so that the blanks can be filled. Guide members (35a, b; 36a, b) displace the edge portions (24a, b) of the web (20) longitudinally in relation to one another when the package blanks are opened so that a rectangular opening is formed.

    • An apparatus for forming individual packages from a continuously flexible belt displaying two opposing walls (5, 6) and longitudinal upper and lower edges and incorporation a number of consecutively arranged packaging blanks (2), each with a bottom section (4) at the aforementioned lower edge and two bonding zones (7, 8) arranged transversely in relation to the longitudinal direction of the belt which form the side closures of the packaging blank.
