    • An electrical adapter (100) includes a first housing member (1), a second housing member (2) coupled with the first housing member to define an internal space therebetween, and a subassembly (3) received in the space. The first housing member has a first mating face (11) defining a first upper and lower cavities (111, 112). The second housing member has a second mating face (21) defining a second cavity (211). The subassembly includes a first, second and third circuit boards (311, 321, 331), a surge suppressing device (34), a number of first, second and third conductive terminals (312, 322, 332) respectively mounted on the first, second and third circuit boards, and a number of contact vias (35) electrically connecting with corresponding first, second and third terminals. The first, second and third terminals respectively have contacting portions (314, 324, 334) extending into corresponding cavities. The surge suppressing device is mounted on the first circuit boards and electrically connects with corresponding first, second and third terminals for transient voltage protection via the contact vias.

    • A TPA (terminal position assurance) member and connector combination in which the connector is specially configured to latch the TPA member at forward and rearward ends of the connector, the TPA member further being provided with mating locking structure so as to securely lock it at both ends to the connector. In a preferred form, one end of the TPA latching structure is provided with both pre-attachment and full locking structure which provides for a two-stage locking sequence giving both visual and tactile indications to the assembler as to the condition of the TPA.

    • A fountain device includes a container including a reservoir to hold and retain circulating fluid within the fountain device, where the container includes an opening and a lip extending around at least a peripheral portion of the opening, a pump securable within the container, a cover configured to encompass the opening and engage the lip of the container when the cover is installed on the container, and a discharge hose securable to an outlet of the pump and extendable to an outlet of the container. The cover includes a plurality of apertures that facilitate passage of fluid through the cover to the reservoir of the container. In addition, a kit including all of the above described components of the fountain device is provided, where the components are assembled within the kit to permit easy installation of the fountain device.

    • The circuit arrangement described measures the time when a frequency F.sub.o, changing towards a desired frequency value, differs by not more than a predetermined amount (e.g. 100 Hz) from the desired value. Initially F.sub.o is mixed with the sum of 10 MHz and the new desired value for F.sub.o. The lower sideband is selected and thus produces a frequency F.sub.1 which is thus always 10 MHz when F.sub.o reaches its desired value (which may be variable). The circuit therefore has to measure when F.sub.1 comes within 100 Hz of 10 MHz. Initially F.sub.1 is multiplied by a predetermined multiplication factor (.times.100) and the product subtracted from a reference frequency. The latter is the sum of a fixed frequency of 300 KHz and of 10 GHz (i.e. 10 MHz multiplied by 100). This therefore produces an output frequency F.sub.2 whose value differs from 300 KHz by 100 Hz.times.100 (or 10 KHz) when F.sub.1 differs from 10 MHz by 100 Hz. It is therefore a relatively simple matter to determine a 10 KHz difference in 300 KHz, by detecting the output of a filter and comparing this with a reference.
